    No Direction Home

by Eva on 2020-03-03TIFF Bell Lightbox - Toronto

On a cold and windy day it was as it always is, a treat to enter the TIFF Lightbox and step into another world. The movie was a joy, I am a Dylan fan and Scorsese really made him come to life again! Highly recommended, even for those who never knew much about him, they will be surprised!

    TIFF Bell Lightbox

by Robbed for time on 2019-11-12TIFF Bell Lightbox - Toronto

Went to see The Irishman over the weekend, the movie was long but very well done. Good acting, great story, one that you could leave the theatre and talk about over dinner. The Bell Lightbox is a perfect venue to see a movie, even with all the upgrades to other theatre's it's still my favorite place to see a show.

    POWERFUL

by arainbowintheclouds on 2017-03-06TIFF Bell Lightbox - Toronto

This documentary is powerful, and unfortunately, still relevant. James Baldwin was a brilliant, intelligent, artistic mind with an empathic spirit. Although his project was incomplete, I am Not Your Negro, gave it life for which I am grateful.

    More than I'd bargained for...

by Yoyoman on 2016-11-09TIFF Bell Lightbox - Toronto

I was expecting first class entertainment and got that without question. What I'm thrilled about is the subtle message about sexuality that the film explores. I no longer believe in gay/straight labels. Those terms just identify the polarities along a continuum of sexual orientation and Moonlight does an amazing job of underscoring that concept. It's time for our culture to redefine masculinity and its role and to erase the shame men are supposed to feel for needing intimacy with other men- a lesson that needs to be delivered well beyond the black community. Moonlight is an engine pulling that train forward into a better future for all.

    Operation Avalanche....... Fantastic !

by Anonymous on 2016-10-04TIFF Bell Lightbox - Toronto

Loved this Canadian made movie ! Spoke to the Visual Effects Supervisor Mr. Zerafa after the movie. I was amazed at how they did what they did on a limited budget. Great storyline. Great suspense and good fun. I think we will be seeing a lot more from Matt Johnson and this talented team.
