  • Excellent all around.

by Mangomango on 2025-05-12Meridian Arts Centre: Greenwin Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The adults were fantastic. Generally, I am not a big fan of “kid” actors especially those not professionally trained. I was hesitant when I heard they got kids from a local non-Arts high school to perform but all I can say is WOW!! What an impressive group! Having to play traumatized kids is tough and they were excellent. Violin, musical effects bravo! The whole experience was sad, of course, but also very creative and interesting. Congrats to the entire ensemble!!

A very moving and persuasive performance of a horrific period in the lives of Jews. Bravo.

The Runner is a one person play that showcases difficult choices that a man trained in collecting body parts for burial has to make. What are the ramifications about saving someone who may have been a killer. And what is the emotional problems about dealing with fellow workers and family. There are no easy answers presented in this play. This work is engrossing and sometimes difficult to watch. Excellent writing , acting and direction.

  • The Ending

by Gruber on 2024-11-10Meridian Arts Centre: Greenwin Theatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The ending needs more clarification as you are left unsure of what circumstances brought the boy who experienced the secular world and what direction the boy who's father was Jewish took.

Excellent interviews, learned lots about Gabi and Jake but the music was unbelievable. The only criticism I have is I wanted more songs.

One of the best evenings of entertainment I have experienced. The 3 singer/actors were super; their arrangements also as well as their delivery. And the trio: so fluid and spectacular - sounded like a larger group.

  • Very powerful, deep and thought provoking!

My husband and I were brought to tears. The story line is one we need to talk about. The acting was superb and I was totally engrossed in the characters for the entire production. It was a memorable experience which opened up a discussion of the differing views of myself and my husband. I recently submitted a letter to the editor of the Toronto Star about my view against MAid. It was published along with two opposing views. A close friend of mine was approved for MAid two years ago. It remains to see if she will ever go through with it. I pray she does not. She is depressed, lonely, and in pain. She needs support to continue her life, not end it.
