    Brier

by Benji on 2020-03-09Leon's Centre - Kingston

One of the best. Well organized. Lots of fun in the arena for the spectators. Arena was very nice but the seats were uncomfortable. Parking in Kingston was almost non existent. We had to walk from a park garage that the elevators closed at 8:30 in the evening. The games did not finish until after 10:00 p.m. We had to walk 9 stories up to the top level to retrieve our car. On Sunday the elevators were not in operation? City of Kingston should get with the program. I am an 76 year old woman. Walking up stairs to the 9th level was rather daunting.

Never been to the Briar before. Will never miss it again if it’s near enough to reach.

    Breier 2020

by Laurie on 2020-03-09Leon's Centre - Kingston

Great Brier curling this year. Probably the best i have ever seen. Curlers have upped their play! Leons venue and the Brier parch ... on the other has was one of the worst. Very few and unhealhy poor food choices in bothe venues. On member of our group has food allergies. But nothing can be taken in the arena. Food itself is so unhealthy. Burgers. Fries. Poutine. And then only one food option at the patch! Brandon Brier had many food venues in their patch. Leons advertised more options but we discovered they were turned into alcohol vendors. L

The crowd was awesome, very friendly fans sitting around me. The seats not so great behind the scoreboard but didn't want to miss it.

    Exciting and fun time

    by C. T. on 2020-03-09Leon's Centre - Kingston

The Brier exceeded our expectations. It was a lot of fun to see and experience. The only thing we found was that the parking was a huge problem. More difficult during the week when people are working meaning even less spaces to park. Wish we had been able to get tickets for more than 2 dates but happy to see it sold out every day. Hope Kingston is able to have it again.

Fun event despite lack of title sponsor products

by Elaine S on 2020-03-08Leon's Centre - Kingston

The venue was easy to get to and found parking nearby. The event was well-run and curling was fun to watch live. We were very surprised that there was no Tim Horton’s concession at the Tim Horton’s Brier.

    A new experience

by Donna on 2020-03-08Leon's Centre - Kingston

We enjoyed watching the games. We had front row seats so we could see two games easily, and the third one a fair bit. The seats were not terribly comfortable and we were dissapointed that there was no Tim Hortons concession stands to buy a coffee or a snack.

    Great venue!

by Nancy on 2020-03-08Leon's Centre - Kingston

It was a great venue to watch these great curlers and thank goodness it was learned from the 2013 Scottie’s that the Patch couldn’t be halfway across the city. The Patch was nice and handy. Only drawback was the outdoor outhouses, especially since some attendees made a mess of them!!! Service at the Patch was well organized and quick. The volunteers helping with the credit/debit payments were efficient and friendly. Good idea! Free transit a bonus too!

    Fantastic curling by the teams.

    by B. P. on 2020-03-08Leon's Centre - Kingston

Well organized event. Teams made many unbelievable shots. Good choice of venue with lots of accommodations, restaurants, and parking nearby. Also appreciated was the free city transportation provided for Brier ticket holders. Free Tim Hortons coffee was a nice bonus. The only negative for us was the very uncomfortable seats; cramped width and legroom, as well as the contour of the hard plastic seats.

    Great event!!!

by TA on 2020-03-08Leon's Centre - Kingston

The Bier was fabulous and the venue was excellent. The parking was very frustrating as there were very few spots close to the venue.

First time at a curling tournament. Not used to early morning sporting events, but the atmosphere was relaxed and exciting at the same time. Great place for a tournament of this caliber. Hope something like this comes back soon. Great price too👍🙂

    Best Ever - Opening Weekend

by KJ on 2020-03-07Leon's Centre - Kingston

What a weekend including Friday night! Having the Brier Patch right across the street? Perfection! Music Friday night was AMAZING; Saturday night was fun! All of the volunteers were so helpful! I don't think Kingston itself was ready for 5000 people a day. Restaurants took us all in but it took over a half hour to order plus another 1.5 hours to get food....hmmmm.... Didn't like how Kingston hotels gouged fans for hotels! $400.00/night. Poor sportsmanship. The event was perfection...the city of Kingston needs to up their game.

    The Brier

    by P. S. on 2020-03-07Leon's Centre - Kingston

It was absolutely wonderful to be able to attend this in the afternoon only to return in the evening What wonderful sport But I do miss the sound of the brooms sweeping the floor

    Great Brier

by Woody on 2020-03-07Leon's Centre - Kingston

Arena was the perfect size for this event. No bad viewing of the games wherever you were seated. Patch was just across the street which made it easy going back and forth. Overall a great experience.
