    Kingston 2020

by Curling fan on 2020-03-06Leon's Centre - Kingston

I have been to a few Briers in Ontario over the years and this one was the best. Great job Kingston. Size of the venue is perfect. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and on-site Brier Patch!

by CurlerJoe on 2020-03-06Leon's Centre - Kingston

easy access ....great venue ...captivating games ...good entertainment in the Brier Patch. Food offering in the Patch was poor, but lots of nearby restaurants with great deals.

    Fun at the Brier

Had a wonderful time at the Brier. All the seats had a great view of the games. The Brier Patch was a ton of fun! Well done!

    Lots of changes

by no arc on 2020-03-05Leon's Centre - Kingston

The event, curling itself was fantastic, the venue, being questioned about bringing in water or a chocolate bar was ridiculous. Lack of food to purchase on 2nd level ridiculous. Not able to purchase on that level unless you are in a certain section. Curl Canada has taken over too many areas and lack of items for souvenirs was down, parking was terrible, had to pay 20 a day to park your car and only certain areas were allowed more than 3 hours to park. Lack of food at the patch, and overall expense incredible. Will be thinking twice about going to the next brier.

    Briar Draw

by Cisco on 2020-03-05Leon's Centre - Kingston

We attended the Mon. March 2 draw at Leon Centre and really enjoyed it. The facility was great and the events very well run. So glad to see the Briar in Kingston.

One of the best curling events yet

by no arc on 2020-03-04Leon's Centre - Kingston

Great shotmaking, the teams were pretty evenly matched on many draws, nice to see lots of young players out there competing and awesome to see a few older ones too. A brier is a must-see event, I have traveled across Canada numerous times to watch this event. Hurry Hard!

The Patch was a good size. Could have used more bathrooms and food vendors.

    Disappointed

by Stickman on 2020-03-04Leon's Centre - Kingston

Been a curler for 50 years and was excited about being able to get tickets for Sunday evening and morning and afternoon draws on Monday of opening weekend. Guess what! Saw the same 8 teams Monday am and Monday afternoon. Heard much grumbling in the stands about this.

    Curling

by JW on 2020-03-03Leon's Centre - Kingston

Probably some of the best shot making you will see anywhere. The standard continues to rise year after year. Truly a great national event.

Fun But Could Have Been Funner

by Chet Clipperz on 2020-03-03Leon's Centre - Kingston

This was a good event. There were four games at a time so lots going on lol. There was only one problem 1) could not see the game closest to us because of the way the seats are positioned 2) seats are not comfortable for sitting for three hours 3) too many drunk people ruined the experience for youngsters under age 12 - why are they allowed to do that? Why not limit alcohol intake? It doesn't make sense. You are just alienating a whole generation of upcoming curling aficionados. Also Kingston is a nice place.

    Brier Cup Virgin

by EvilMonkey on 2020-03-03Leon's Centre - Kingston

My husband and I attended our first Brier Cup tournament. We both loved it, so much better seeing it live rather than on the tv. Great games were played that we got to see. We wished we could stay for the whole tournament but unfortunately work calls. We especially enjoyed our time in the Brier Patch tent, so much fun and good laughs. Enjoyed meeting the players, and when they were called up onto the stage. Awesome music bands too. We look forward to next Brier Cup in close to our area....we will definitely go again and for the whole week next time.

    the seat location was excellent.

by Thumper on 2020-03-03Leon's Centre - Kingston

The seats chosen for the opening weekend Brier draws were excellent. The teams performance was excellent, it’s unfortunate that one team has to lose. The Leon Centre was a wonderful location for the Brier.

    Great Games

by Grace on 2020-03-03Leon's Centre - Kingston

Excellent seats and games. Only issue ticket said 2 pm and opening was at 1230 so we missed it. Maybe in future opening time could also be on ticket

Curling events are a must if you've never been

by McMac1 on 2018-03-13Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - Regina

The whole event was fantastic. The ONLY disappointment was the band in The Patch on Saturday night. Great band for a different type of event, but not for a cabaret style party where people want to dance to music they know and have fun. The Patch cleared out rather quickly Saturday night. I can only imagine the tens of thousands of dollars lost in revenue from the bar by the low attendance in the Patch Saturday night. Heard that complaint from MANY people on Saturday. The payment for drinks by credit/debit was hassle free. Great food options. Would like to see other brands of beer than Original 16.

The Brier was a rockin’ good time

by Partygal on 2018-03-12Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - Regina

We enjoyed the curling and the fun little activities that Slider did between the ends. There was a lot to see in the complex and the arena was comfortable and easy to get to. Parking was good and it was free! The tv screens were helpful to see the replays.
