About

Bucking a festival trend that reached its apex with Tupac's digitized 2012 appearance at Coachella, TLC will not be using a hologram of late member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes on their 2014 tour dates. Instead, T-Boz and Chilli hold it down as a duo, tastefully honoring Left Eye with passionate renditions of their biggest hits. Performing in 2013 in celebration of their 20th anniversary, TLC reminded fans just why they remain the top-selling American girl group of all time, bringing anticipation for their 2014 tour dates to a fever pitch.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Combining R&B, hip hop, and soul, TLC rose to international superstardom in the '90s with a string of multi-platinum albums and No. 1 singles. Their 1992 debut Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip spawned several hits, but it was 1994 sophomore album CrazySexyCool that really put them on the map. Boasting two international No. 1's with "Creep" and "Waterfalls," CrazySexyCool became the first diamond-certified album by a female group, earning them two Grammy wins out of four nominations. Their run continued with 1999's FanMail, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and contained the era-defining classic "No Scrubs," winner of Best R&B song at the 2000 Grammys. In the wake of the death of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in 2002, T-Boz and Chilli have carried on TLC's legacy, celebrating 20 years of hits in 2013 with a compilation and tour.

    Audio could be improved

by Mnc on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

All Artist performances were fantastic but music settings were off as the drums and instruments were louder than the vocals. In addition, the intermission music was inaudible as only the bass could be heard for the songs and the voice was again inaudible. This was the worst audio/music playback ever experienced at a concert and was a terrible injustice to the Artists, whose songs are great.

They gave a fantastic show. But shaggy was a disappointment

by Tlcfan on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Lights performance singing was great. Performance was on time and the light show was terrific. Shaggy was such a disappointment. Drinks were out of this world. 20.00 for a drink.

This was an awesome experience. I loved the stage set up, sound quality was fantastic, the different backgrounds they used. The performance was out of this world. The Dj was fantastic. Everything about this concert was on point. I never sat down during there performance. It was such a great experience. I cant wait to see them again.

    Nothing special

by LUSCIOUSLI on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Disappointed in the show, was hoping for a more nostalgic feel and it wasn't really the case especially with Shaggy.

    Person with disability

by A loving husband on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The Budweiser Stage is a great venue... to the owner and operators thank you for providing a great experience. This was our first concert in over a year and it really made my wifes night. If I could recommend... the venue does not have private washrooms for individuals with disabilities. My wife requires assistance when going to the restroom and was forced to stand in line with all the drunk concert ladies who tend to ignore the fact that she is in a wheelchair. I thank god their was a lady who said she was a nurse and was willing to assist my wife. I offered to buy her a drink afterwards as she missed at least 3 TLC songs to wait and assist. Miss if your reading this - I thank you very much... We respect all individuals rights to enjoy their experience but it would be nice if their were private clean accessible washrooms for individuals who purchase handicap seats. Perhaps their tickets alone can scan a card reader which only allows handicap individuals into those restrooms so the ignorant individuals who don't know any better don't help themselves. Just a suggestion... Most persons don't give individuals with infirmities a second thought, its sad really in this day and age. Until it affects you directly... Handicap individuals that attend these events are not drunk or high and are just thankful they can still get out and feel normal like everyone else. A lot of hard work, time and planning goes into getting to an event like this if you are disabled whether its a cognitive or physical impairment. All please just be mindful of this... thanks for reading.

    Great concert

by AlyG on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

I really enjoyed the concert, the mix of people all ages and hues. Unfortunately for the last act, Shaggy, it started to rain and we had to cut out but otherwise had a great time.

    TLC / Shaggy

by Manderzz on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Sad I missed Sean Kingston I wish he was a bit later :( Long waits in between sets lots of kids in the crowd and securities dragging people out early in the evening in the lawns Overall good though

    It was okay

by Sonia on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Started on time so that’s appreciated but too much time in between performers, didn’t feel cohesive. Sitting in the 400’s was annoying as a lot of people were passing by back & forth thru the night. Overall it was okay but not as enjoyable as expected

High energy and lots of fun, too short for openers

by Vnsflytrp on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Sean Kingston only preformed for 20 mins and all of us really wanted to see more of him. It almost felt like listing him as performing was pointless for how short a time her was on stage. Would have been better just having 3 acts and allowing Shaggy more time as he didnt have time to even scratch the surface of his hits.

    Waaaay to many breaks

by Cool cat on 2023-06-18Budweiser Stage - Toronto

There were too many breaks in between the performances and they were very long also. The first performer Sean Kingston only performed for less than 30 minutes and Shaggy didn’t do full songs.
