About

LUDACRIS IN CONCERT:

As far as sonic recognizability goes, few rappers can top the unmistakable timbre of Ludacris' signature drawl. Luda has been an ubiquitous presence in rap music ever since his 1998 on-record debut, and with "Party Girls," the first preview single from eighth album Ludaversal, climbing charts in early 2014, he's showing no signs of slowing. Luda treated audiences at his 2013 shows to marathon sets of his greatest hits, and with a new album hitting shelves in 2014, fans are sure to get some special treatment on his upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born Christopher Brian Bridges in Illinois, Ludacris moved to Atlanta at age nine. After a stint as a radio DJ on Atlanta's legendary Hot 97.5, he scored his first mainstream exposure on the track "Phat Rabbit," a collaboration with Timbaland from the famed producer's 1998 album Tim's Bio: Life from da Basement. Ludacris  built on this success with his 2000 debut album Back for the First Time, which contained several huge singles, and in 2003 he topped the Billboard 200 with third album Chicken-n-Beer. His next two albums would also top the chart, spawning classic No. 1's "Stand Up" and "Money Maker" and establishing him as one of rap's biggest players. With seven Top 5 albums under his belt and eighth album Ludaverse due out in 2014, anticipation for Luda's upcoming tour dates is at fever pitch.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"I would see Ludacris again in a heartbeat. He is as good live as he is on every single one of his albums. He's funny, he's clever, he's entertaining and he's downright sexy."

"...Ludacris came up, and I was absolutely floored. A wonderful combination of his old number one hits and his new ones made me fall in love all over again with his artistry. He was very charismatic and able to keep the crowd going."

"Luda was awesome!!! I have never had that much fun at a concert ever. Luda is a pure entertainer!!!! Great selection!"

  • Loved it

It was great. affordable tickets probably because there was no bells and whistles. just "a mic and two turntables". It was all about the music . No distractions of dancers or flashy props. I would love more concerts to be like this. He made the whole place feel small and personable.

Ludacris' concert was an explosion of energy and rhythm. From the moment I stepped into the Canada Life Center, the emotion was palpable in the air. Each song performed by Ludacris made the audience vibrate in unison. It was an unforgettable night filled with music, dance, and moments that I will treasure forever. A concert that I will remember with a big smile!

Was a great concert! Ludacris put on such a great show. Loved Kardinal Offishall as well! So glad that I went!

  • Great show but way too short in length

by Jblaze on 2024-08-04Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Crowd seemed uninterested with the hype man K0. Luda came on at 9 and done by 10 and that's with a 5 minute break in between. But he was lit when he was on stage....songs cut way too short.

  • Could do more!

by Ali on 2024-08-04Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

It was like luda and kardinal concert. Luda only performed only for almost an hour. Show started late. Also, i thought kardinal was just front act but he did almost an hour too. Wish luda could’ve done more songs.

  • One for the books

by Matt cee on 2024-08-04Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Really easy getting in thru the front doors where your ticket gets scanned and you go thru metal detectors and either up to your booth or left into the corridor filled with drink and food vendors. Once you have your food n drink you can make your way to the lounge or to your seat. And enjoy the concert! Would recommend going to see a concert at Canada life!

Had fun at the concert. Although I think it could have been better.

  • Great artist and performer but super short set!

I love Ludacris! I've been a fan since his first album. He's great in person, lots of great energy and knows how to work the crowd! HOWEVER, he didn't finish any of his songs!! He's got banger after banger but he would only do the first bit or half of the song, then switch to something else! Drove me crazy! I get the ones that he collab'd on, he only wants to do his part, but on the songs that are entirely his, he should do the whole song! I only get to listen to him do the first minute of Stand Up? Come on Luda!! His whole performance was only about 45 minutes. For the price of these tickets, I expect a longer show than that.
