  • Good show, long night

by Mike on 2023-11-15Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Sass Jordan and Tom Cochrane were good, especially Tom Cochrane. Disappointed a bit with Trooper and the sound. Shame on me as I didn’t realize Ra McGuire had retired.

  • It was something...

by Dave on 2023-11-15Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Venue: the sound people could not get things right and had singers mics way to low. The instruments completely drowned out the vocal performances, except when the equipment stopped working all together. It wasn't listed anywhere, but the concert was raising funds for a music school. The students were invited to be the opening act which means we basically had to sit through what amounted to a high school band. Sass killed it giving everything she had to every note she sang. She preformed as if she though this was her last show ever, she wanted it remembered and among her best. She truly preforms for the love of preforming and it comes through. Given Trooper has no members that are in the band who didn't join 20 years after the band was formed and wrote their songs, they're essentially a cover/tribute band now. Tom was brilliant and gave the crowd a vibe of being Canada's Bruce Springsteen engaging with the crowd and giving his songs a deeper meaning.

  • Tom Cochrane, Trooper & Sass Jordan

by Daniela on 2023-11-15Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great, but the concert schedule was misleading with two hours difference. It started 8PM instead of 6PM as was the information.

What a concert! The entire band played with passion and energy, These guys deserve accolades and more! The audience was fabulous and clearly enthused by their camaraderie and commitment to delivering a solid Rock 'N Roll music performance.

  • Could have been better

by Limoliz on 2023-11-15Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

The kids that started the show would have been much better if someone would have run the mixing board for them, you could barely hear the voices and the instruments were too loud. Sass Jordan could have been a better performance. Trooper was phenomenal as was Cochrane. As for the getting in and out of the Venue, I had arranged a drop off and they made her park at the farthest door possible and being not so young it was a hardship to walk that far with an arthritic hip.

  • I thought Covid pricing was over......

by '80's rockmama on 2023-11-15Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

The venue was fine...the drinks were ridiculous. Honestly folks. $23 for a double ceasar. Why do we have to pay your electricity bills for you. We already are with the seat prices. And, as a musician, I was appalled at the tour's hierarchy of production quality placement. Sass Jordan's sound production was awful, Trooper's was better, and of course ,,,Tom Cochranes sound was the best quality. It really took away from the backup bands show. THEY were great. Tom was '"meh ""even with the best sound.....anyway.................

  • Very good musical show

by Shelvin on 2023-11-15Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

The entertainment was great and ran on time and moved along very well. Too bad the security was very amateur by escalating situations and blocking our view every time by bringing 5 plus people to talk to one person.

  • Love Tom Cochrane in concert!

by Msmac on 2023-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I go to see him every time I can, really enjoyed the trio of Sass Jordan and Trooper! Great small venue concert!

  • Brutal venue

by Red on 2023-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

The bands were great!!! Unfortunately, the whole experience ruined by super aggressive security. We were in the fourth row and were not allowed to go to the front. Only the front row was allowed to stand up there. It ended up super lame since the bands were essentially only seeing and playing to the whole 6 people that stood up there. Lots of negative interactions with security. Will never go back to this venue.

Groups were great but the venue, sound was clear where we sat but floor seating was very loud. Expo centre smelt like cow shit 🤢 got worse when the hvacs switched on.

  • Not great sound!!

by Michie on 2023-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Well my experience sat night fell short of my expectations, food sales cut off before liquor sales, ( not a smart move) , sound was shit! Thank god Trooper put on a great show, minus the poor sound quality!

  • Horrible Venue

by MamaG on 2023-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Venue completely disorganized no signage no lineups, smelled like farm shit. The ticket system was false leading, I bought FL tickets which I thought were floor tickets and that was not the case and lots of people were having problems with tickets and seating location. Not worth the price I paid. This venue has terrible sound system as well. I would never go there for another concert.

  • Wonderful artist mashed up with misleading line up

by Malcolm on 2023-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Started late, slipped in an unlisted group, while we support education, 2-3 songs would have been a perfect number to showcase these young musicians. The venue seating is cramped and makes it hard to sit for 5 hours. Tom Cochrane was very good. The sound for Trooper and Sass Jordan was poor. In my opinion Trooper mailed it in. Remember, drum, guitar and keyboard solos are only entertaining to the musicians…it’s an act of indulgence that the paying fans do not enjoy…We want to hear the human voice, that’s entertaining , that is why we pay to see these musicians…their voice touches our soul.

  • Amazing!!

by KimMac on 2023-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Tom Cochran did not disappoint, a real class act! So glad i didn’t miss this one!

  • Disorganized, late, understaffed, poor venue

by DK on 2023-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5

It started with exceptionally poor service at the entrance. Complete bottle neck. Tried to get a drink and took forever. Then the line up to get in, somehow got tangled in the drink line up. Thought we would be late. But no. Concerts didn’t start until it was 90 min late. Venue smelt like cattle. Inside the drink situation was even worse. It literally took them 5-7 min to serve one person. Waaaay too much time between artists. Sass Jordan dressed like just arrived from Walmart and then proceeded to pay 6 songs no one ever heard of. Trooper was unimpressive and that’s when we decided to leave completely. We had been there for 3 hours and heard 4/5 songs that’s we knew. Never left a concert before ever. But couldn’t stay at that one.
