He loves playing music, loves his audience and he loves Canada- you felt all of that when he played and spoke.
A great celebration show marking 25 years of Mad Mad World. Tom sounded as awesome at this concert, as he did 25 years ago. It was also great to hear some Red Rider hits as well.
Shaky start for the old guy but he redeemed himself and rocked it!! Meghan Patrick was AMAZING! She is going places!
the seats were awesome He put on a amazing concert and Meagan Patrick was amazing too!
It's always great listening to old tunes that revive good times from the past and sharing those moments with great friends. Tom and Red Rider tunes bring out the summer time fun.
Tom Cochrane rocked it . The lighting crew was less desired. Lights kept blinding audience when they would panned out to stage. The lights could of punctuaed the highlights of the songs so much better, by being bright down onto members of band. As always they forget to showcase the drummer and his kit. Drummer was lit up and rockin, but focus was on key board. Drummer so much more exciting to see in that moment than someone sitting and playing keys Why can there not be a camera facing down at Rama on the drummer fro at least one shot in a solo.
The show exceeded my expectations. He brought me back to the glorious 80's with his explosive sound
There was a warm-up band that was Country. People going to see Tom Cochrane aren't there to hear country. The back-up band played 15 minutes then we had to wait for all their gear to come off and Tom's to come on. Tom started out with his Mad Mad World material first which I feel is a strategic faux pas. Warm up with classic Cochrane then bring in the new stuff. Bass and drums were too loud resulting in Tom's mike having to be so loud that his vocals were breaking up. The classic Cochrane was very well pulled off and I was glad I came in the end.
Having been to other concerts this tour, we were disappointed that the set list was shorter. And Bigger Man was one of the songs dropped! Not Cool!
Tom put on a great concert. It was wonderful to meet him. Nice friendly man. We really enjoyed the overall event.
First of all, the venue was excellent (despite some ongoing reno's): there was ample and affordable parking; the orchestra seating was spacious/comfortable and the sound quality was fantastic - not too loud but loud enough to rock the place! The show itself was awesome!! The band played for approximately 2 full hours and performed all of the songs from the Mad Mad World album as well as many other of Red Rider's greatest hits. The lights and video production were not over the top and made for a very nice compliment to the music which enhanced the overall concert exprience. It was a concert that I would gladly go see again!!
I guess it was ok cause I had never seen him, but I honestly felt kind of bad. He seemed drunk and out of it. I honestly felt like he did it for the dough.
The whole show was a (Jose Bautista) Grand Slam ! From the opening act "Nice Horse" who were very good and got the audience warmed up and of course, Tom & Red Rider. They could have played till 4 am and still not have covered all of Tom's music and it was one of those concerts that you would have stayed that long, just because ! Tom Cochrane is a beloved Canadian Icon who wears his heart on his sleeve and thru his music, benevolence & humanitarianism, travelling with World Vision, is why this is so. Red Rider compliments Tom and are such great musicians that this concert one of the best I've been to in a long time. My son enjoyed it too and he isn't easily swayed. I've never attended a show at Centre In The Square before, we were pleasantly surprised, I'd definitely go to another show there.
Would go see him 5 more times he's great has an awesome voice. He's worth every cent
This was my second time seeing Tom Cochrane with Red Rider and they did not disappoint. Great energy, great music and great venue! A true Canadian experience!
Went expecting a 7 (out of 10) concert and got an 11. Saw him years ago and this show was far superior.
What an awesome concert. CD quality. Music sound was perfect in loudness and quality. Tom Cochrane was sounding well seasoned and warm. Lots of photo opps. Very good set list, but really wanted them to play " Ocean Blue".
the best ever! Takes me back to when the album first came out.
From the meet and greet through the end of the show, TERRIFIC! My wife and I have been fans of Tom and Red Rider for years. It was a treat to finally meet the man behind the music. We look forward to future concerts...:)
