Tom Cochrane with Red Rider Rocked it Out!

by Beanbean16 on 2015-02-24Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre - Vernon

As a childhood fan of Tom Cochrane, I bought tickets and didn't entirely know what to expect since I'm not as familiar with his newer music. This concert was awesome! Tom and Red Rider were super interactive with the audience, and each other, creating a real sense of kinship amongst the crowd. The musicianship within that band is unreal. And Tom is awesome. They also played a perfect mix of old and new music. I didn't expect to hear "Sinkin' Like a Sunset" and was so stoked when they played it. I would highly recommend this show to anyone!

    Blown away by passion

by ConsequenceFree on 2015-02-19Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

I believe I found my new favourite musician! I have loved Tom Cochrane for years, but not until seeing him in concert did I realize the passion he puts behind his singing. It was inspirational to watch. And so proud that he's not only Canadian, but a Manitoban as well. It was a wonderful evening. Highly recommend :)

    Tom Cochrane was great!

by DeedeeC1 on 2015-02-19Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

I never saw Tom Cochrane in concert yet, so I thought I should as we are all getting older and when will he play again?! I was pleasantly surprised on how entertaining the whole band was. His daughter is a great singer, too! Played a lot of his hits and a few new songs. Loved the venue - first time there for a concert. Every seat was a great one!

    Tom Cochrane is a classic.

by Zann on 2010-05-26Westman Place (Brandon Keystone Centre) - Brandon

I've seen Tom Cochrane about 5-6 times now and I still love hearing the old songs. I would have enjoyed having some "face time" with him since it was a smaller crowd.

    tom cochrane talks too much

by berley on 2009-07-26Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

I was really looking forward to Red Rider but knew I'd have to put up with Tom and half an hour into their show after listening to Tom talk about nothing for 12 continous minutes we decieded to leave .The sound was off ( not loud enough and muffled )and listening to somebody talk on and on at a concert is not our idea of fun .Red Rider is a great band (and would probably sell out a show without Tom ) but unfortunatly we didn't have the patience to watch

Tom Cochrane was great! and david wilcox rocks!!!

by jaxie on 2009-07-20Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

We really enjoyed the concert although we had to drive up to Barrie. Once there we just chilled out and waited for concert to start, was a little late but no problem with that. We had seats down at the front, and the security was amazing because we thought during the concert alot of people would come down to get closer but the security kept everything in check. The concert was just great, loved it. He still has the gift. David Wilcox, i have seen him over the years, he is an incredible musician and it was great to have them both to enjoy for an evening out.

    David Wilcox stole the show

by Cookie58 on 2009-07-20Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

Tom Cochrane is showing his age and resting on past laurels. Sound was muddled. Good thing David Wilcox still his chops.

    Cochrane was a disappointment

by Cochranefan on 2009-07-20Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

For an opening act, Wilcox played for 1.5 hours - although he was good, it was too long. Disappointed in TC as it was difficult to hear his voice - seemed to be drowned out by the band. Could not make out his words when talking to the crowd.

David Wilcox was a mazing in this venue! Tom's sound was wayyy off though. Not sure what happened. He put on a hell of a show but the sound tech and him could not get it right. Unfortunate becuase I was really looking forward to hearing him play. He is an amazing artist!

let down at rock 95 canada day bash

by truecanadians on 2009-07-17Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

I recently purchased 2 tickets to the rock 95 canada bash to see David Wilcox and Tom Conchrane, this was a gift for my boyfriends birthday who also happens to be the most patriotic person I know, Off we go straight from work in are red and white, and flag in hand. What surprised us when we arrived was that we were the only ones there that really supported canada, we saw the odd person in a canada tee, and there wasn't even so much as a flag up or around the stage, after watching Wilcox put on a great show we decided to purchase our SECOND beer only to be told we cannot be served anymore, this made us frusterated, it wasn't that we couldn't have a beer, we don't need that to have a good time, what made us upset was we felt that because we stood out so much with are red and white and canada flag we were a target, (oh no, there's people having fun and being patriotic) well they must be drunk then so cut them off. All I can say is we left feeling let down, Canada is a wonderful place to live and deserves to be shown a little more patriotism, we will not be attending anymore Rock 95 bashes, Please love our country!!!

Tom Cochrane has still got it

by Roberto on 2009-07-17Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

Being from Alberta, my wife and I were having trouble locating dates for Tom Cochrane. We eventually found the Barrie Molson Centre. We decided that if Tom Cochrane wasn't coming to us then we were going to him. We booked our tickets for the show in Barrie, flew to Toronto, caought a bus to Barrie and there we were. My wife and I are huge fans and the show was everything we wanted and more. It was worth the trip and we took many pictures. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Red Rider has been forgotten by Tom Cochrane

by exellenza on 2009-07-17Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

The sound in the arena was bad - very few people tried to fill the massive space and the speakers didn't deliver the sound to the stands. As much as I liked Tom Cochrane's solo material, I wanted to hear more of the old Red Rider material - there wasn't nearly enough of it. In its day Red Rider was awesome with or without Tom.... too bad they didn't have much since the early days. I'd love to see them somewhere soon.

    Wilcox was amazing!!!!!

by L98fiero on 2009-07-16Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

We were in row 11. David Wilcox was amazing, the energy and abilities he has made for an unbelievable hour and a half. The sound setup was great for him...... Tom Cochrane, not so much. The music overwhelmed the lyrics which is not so good considering the type of songs he is noted for. We left early.
