Wonderful all the way around. Good clean entertainment. I don't know of any other entertainers his age who could pull off 2 hours on their own without other acts or other voices to cover up rough spots. I'm so happy I went and shall have a nice memory of it.
I had only seen Tommy Hunter on television. I totally enjoyed it. What a professional. It was great to actually hear his voice and not just the band as it is with other performers. It is easy to see why he has such a long career.
As always, Tommy put on an excellent show. I was particularly impressed that he found out that the Barrhead bus had broken down and people had missed the first part of the show - so he did a quick recap and then carried on. He is a true gentleman and a great performer!
I decided to take my parents to see Tommy Hunter because I grew up watching his televised show. I can only say that he is an entertainer extraordinaire!! No wonder his program was on TV for 27 years! The music, his voice, the jokes, were all sublime...it was an afternoon of entertainment that I didn't want to end! Tommy entertained our country for many years and he truly is Canada's Country Gentleman! I found myself smiling with a grin that reached ear-to-ear and at times tearing up for the end of an era because he is sadly retiring from show business. This show is a must-see!!!
IT WAS A FANTASTIC SHOW.I LOVED MEETING HIM IN PERSON . HE IS A GENTLEMAN AND HAS A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR . NICEST GUY YOU WILL EVER MEET.
Wish we had some good family TV shows like the "Tommy Hunter Show" now days.
I took my 75 yr young Momma for her birthday to the Tommy Hunter Concert Arpil 17 @ 2pm. All I can say is that I looked forward to a relaxing afternoon of country music and his concerrt was BEYOND my EXPECTATIONS!!! He IS the Country Gentleman with the voice like butter (country butter that is!) and a gentle, respectful show for his very faithful fans! He remarked that we had just enjoyed an afternoon of clean entertainment and 'corny' jokes and he was right, but for my mom and I, it was an afternoon we will not forget. Most enjoyable was Tommy's background story on almost every featured song and his familiar way of telling stories, right up to the closing reading!!! Thank you for your many years of joining us in our living room and being a part of us all those years and last SUNDAY AFTERNOON. It's not good-bye Mr Hunter, just until next time - and thank you for SINGING for us, just one more time.
This was a gift, but was told it was a very good show. Funny. And a classic performer.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Tommy's voice, interpretation & story telling ability remain strong and compelling.
Great showman, loved the music selections. Glad we took my Mom and Dad with us as they enjoyed it immensely. Tommy hit home when he asked the audience how many people received tickets from sons or daughters. I remember watching and enjoying his show every Sunday night when I was a child. I continued to watch it as an adult until the last show.
I went with my husband and best friend and we had a wonderful night. Tommy is a seasoned professional that is very entertaining. He is an old school entertainer who wows you with his music not with smoke and mirrors. He kept us laughing with good clean jokes...no need for foul language.
We really enjoyed the show. It is really to bad good shows have to come to an end. It's been great to have attended so many of Tommy's Concertsbecause it's getting harder to find the good ones for older folks. Thank you so much Tommy for the good years of listening to you.
A very good concert, we've been going to see the Tommy Hunter Show for years. We always watched him on TV. We are sure going to miss his concerts. Good Luck to Tommy and his group in their retirement in 2012. We will sure miss you.
Canada's Country Gentleman put on a smooth, polished performance. Took us down the road of his career and played a lot of the favorites. An absolute treat
This was a very entertaining show and worth the money to go. It was pretty well a repeat of the tv shows and it was good to think back on that.
Tommy Hunter put on a show that most performers half his age couldn't come close to matching. In his smooth, quiet way he held the attention of the entire audience and never missed a beat. It is totally refreshing today to be entertained in a clean, wholesome way but what else would you expect from "The Country Gentleman".
The show was fantastic - better than I expected it to be. Tommy has quite a sense of humor. I recommend anyone to go and see it. It brought back mamy memories.
