Toronto FC History
Toronto FC played their first season in 2007 and became a perennial MLS Cup playoff contender after adding Italian soccer star Sebastian Giovinco in 2015. In his first year with the team, Giovinco became the first Toronto FC player to win MLS' Golden Boot, MVP and Newcomer of the Year awards, en route to the team's first-ever playoff berth. The team reached further success the following year by reaching the MLS Cup Final, then won the championship in 2017. That victory, coupled with their winning of the Canadian Championship and Supporters' Shield matches earlier in the year, made Toronto FC the first team in Major League Soccer history to complete the rare feat known as the domestic treble.
Toronto FC have been most dominant in the annual Canadian Championship, in which the club has taken home the Voyageurs Cup eight times, including in 2020. Individual player accolades include Rookie of the Year for midfielder Maurice Edu in 2007 and Most Valuable Player for attacking midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo in 2020.

Toronto FC at BMO Field
Toronto FC is the city's first Major League Soccer team and the first Canadian team in the league. When BMO Field, the team's home stadium, opened in 2007, it was already the largest soccer-specific stadium in Canada. The venue has since expanded to accommodate over 30,000 fans. The Eastern Conference team's most vocal and visible supporters club, the Red Patch Boys, started rallying online back in 2006 before the team had even played its first match.

I was able to watch TFC beat the Montreal Impact which was great!
I loved the atmosphere of the stadium and fans. The crowd was loud, but not rowdy or unruly. You can bring a date, your parents, your children, or just friends. Make sure you bring your own rain poncho if there's a chance of rain. The ponchos at the stadium are expensive.
The game was quite boring, while the stadium is poorly designed and the service is equally poor. You can't even bring in your own water. Apparently, many locals are used to that, but that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Moreover, I had snack bars with me and the front door personnel just threw them out into the garbage while ravaging through my small bag in which I carry water and my wallet. They could have at least warned us before we actually bought the tickets, but we only found out at the gate. The stadium provides no protection against the weather. So, if it's raining, you are stuck sitting in the pool of water soaking wet, while the players have to contend with slippery field. We actually brought umbrellas and we were told you can't use them because it would abstract the view for others. That makes sense, but when we said that we will simply not use them we were still told that we couldn't come inside with them and one of us had to walk all the way back to the car to put them away. Somehow, though, there were still people on the stands with umbrellas... Teams were of equal strength but zero excitement on the field... I am definitely not going back to this stadium ever again and have relayed my experience to all my acquaintances.
Great fans but we lost 2-0. Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!
Great game! TFC Dominated the L'Impact on their way to becoming Canadian champions. Atmosphere was great, event was great, would reccommend to everyone!
It's a fun outing going to an FC game. It's just not all that it's made out to be. There are supporters there, but it's nothing like it sounds or looks on TV. The actual supporters area is quite small. The other thing is the calibre of play isn't really that exciting. It seems they're playing more of a Hockey style than a soccer/football style. Back and forth instead of maintaining posession and setting up chances. But this isn't the premier league I guess. It's a nice one off outing for the family in the summer.
