Toronto FC History
Toronto FC played their first season in 2007 and became a perennial MLS Cup playoff contender after adding Italian soccer star Sebastian Giovinco in 2015. In his first year with the team, Giovinco became the first Toronto FC player to win MLS' Golden Boot, MVP and Newcomer of the Year awards, en route to the team's first-ever playoff berth. The team reached further success the following year by reaching the MLS Cup Final, then won the championship in 2017. That victory, coupled with their winning of the Canadian Championship and Supporters' Shield matches earlier in the year, made Toronto FC the first team in Major League Soccer history to complete the rare feat known as the domestic treble.
Toronto FC have been most dominant in the annual Canadian Championship, in which the club has taken home the Voyageurs Cup eight times, including in 2020. Individual player accolades include Rookie of the Year for midfielder Maurice Edu in 2007 and Most Valuable Player for attacking midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo in 2020.

The Eastern Conference team's most vocal and visible supporters club, the Red Patch Boys, started rallying online back in 2006 before the team had even played its first match.

Enjoyable event - good game, but the team should do a better job of ensuring the seats are clean. All of the seats in our area were dirty.
The atmosphere was amazing. TFC won so it was even better. Met very nice people.
Great game, seat gave a good view of the entire field. Too bad Toronto FC ending up losing the game.
Great game and atmosphere. I attended quarter, semi and final and this was the best in terms of actual soccer game and atmosphere. Weather was terrible but nothing a few beers wouldn't take care of.
Great seat would recommend them to everyone the food in the tunnel restaurant was great staff great and cool to see the players come through
TFC has a chance to be a CONCACHAMPION next Wednesday.. Chivas's game was so disorganized in the mid field and it will be a big issue for them to keep this advantage that it happened last tuesday, Believe it or not, The weather and the condition of the field did not help TFC. This kind of conditions in the field always helps teams with no strong system We will see. my score in Mexico this coming Wednesday is Chivas 1 -3 TFC.
Could have closed play far more higher up the pitch then they did on Tuesday night
In the early days, the atmosphere wasn't very good because the stadium was 3/4 empty.. but lately, it's been fantastic. The stadium is usually around 80-90% full and the crowd is into it. The price of alcohol and food is severely overpriced.. not sure how they can justify $12.25 for a tall can of beer or $5 for a small plate of fries.. but I guess it is what it is.
Never a dull moment when you go and see TFC play, especially on an international level.
There no place like home. BMO has become a fortress, something very Torontonians have to experience.
Overall, excellent experience with the exception of the weather. Amazing fan followers.
Good Game but the Rain made it difficult for the players to play. The field got destroyed to the fact that they had to cancel this Saturday,s game
Exciting game in a must win situation for TFC, to bad Seba ok but Joze didn't fail to thrill the fans. Keep up the great work and give Club America your best effort on Tuesday..lets go you REDS!!
The event was great, but that can be attributed to the fact that TFC won and put on a good game and the weather was ok. They were selling hot chocolate which was literally just water and cocoa powder for $4 each —— That was over-priced obviously.
Overall a great experience, like always the atmosphere is like no other in Toronto.
For champions, they could’ve played a better game. My son was all excited to see the champions but was disappointed with the result.
Event packed to the roof? Check. Amped crowd? Check. Match drama? Check. Right team won? CHECK. What a night!!!
Excellent game, Altidore is the man. At this time of year it gets frosty, come prepared
Best sporting event in my lifetime that I attended. Great crowd. Great game. I love Toronto.
The greatest moment for me was when Altidore’s shot hit the back of the net. I knew we were on our way to victory.
