    Great location the coliseum

    by ontar10 on 2009-12-29Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

Saw Lake Erie play the Marlies with my son. He was given a puck by an usher as we entered, it was his first game: that's classy! Not a bad seat in the building and nobody checks the seats, pay $10 and sit where you want, any more than that and you have wasted your money. And by the way, when a goon on the ice cross-checks a player, then slashes him and then attempts to Bertuzzi him, gets 14 minutes in penalties and kisses his own knuckles as he leaves the ice (the victim got nothing), that's a travesty, get that bum out of the league!

It was a fantastic holiday event for the family to enjoy together . We were a little disappointed with the level of play and the scoring disparity . But what the hey ! I loved being at the game with my family!

Awesome seats, too bad the team didn't play so well. Wish you could get Leafs games at a reasonable price too.

Never give up on the Marlies!

by hikergirlQ on 2009-11-28Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

This was an excellent game. The advice to those who left after the second period when the Marlies were down 4-1.. .that was a mistake. It was an incredible third period with the Marlies scoring 4 to win. Impressive. This is pre-NHL hockey at its' best. For 30 bucks, you are sitting in great seats where you can really see the game, and watching players who have sometimes already been up to the big league, or are en route. And for those - like Ben Ondrus (2 goals)- who are playing out their career in the AHL, it's just a pleasure to watch... hardworking, and great hockey. I have been a leafs fan for a lifetime. And while I will never give up on the Leafs, this is "accessible" hockey. You can afford to go, sit close enough to really get in the game, and you can even score autographs after if you want to. And you don't even have to mortgage your house to pay for parking.. only 9 dollars! Love it. This is hockey for us regular folk.

The Marlies played 2 minutes in the 1st period, 4 minutes in the second, and most of the third. Luckily, that was enough.

    Great Time Away

    by Jman7 on 2009-11-24Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

My experience at the Marlies game was most definitely a positive one. It was a great place and time to hang out with friends and have some good hockey entertainment. I liked the fact that no matter where you are in the arena you always have a good seat, which makes for a closer and more personal experience with the players on the ice. Prices weren't too bad for an arena, but I always eat before the game anyway. The fact that you could watch the players come from the dressing room hallway to the ice from about 5 ft away was a fun experience, so you can get those up close pictures of the Maple Leafs prospects. All in all, it was a great experience. I wasn't overwhelmed by the amount of people there, and like I said it's a prime spot to come out with a couple of buddies and have a good time.

    marlies game

    by laefboy99 on 2009-11-23Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

My family had a great time at the Richoe Centre watching the Marlies. Any seat in the house is great. You reallly get into the action and can see how fast the game really is, especially the hard checking into the boards. The food was good although as most sporting events, I think that is is overpriced. My son only drinks water, and I always shutterwhen I have to pay $375 for a botle of water, when I can get a case of water for the same proce at the supermarket. That being said, I would encourage families to go see a Marlies game, its the next best thing to watching a live NHL game (just less expensive), and in some cases you are seeing the future proffessional stars of the future.

    Great Game!

by Bammy on 2009-11-23Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

The game was great. Got to watch the leafs practice, and even got a couple autographs. Would recommend for sure. Third row seats for 40 bucks, and got to see the leafs and a great game! I think it's better then going to the leafs game and sitting in the nose bleeds!

Great buy for pro hockey live (awesome seats)

by JwLoft on 2009-11-23Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

I don't understand why the Ricoh is always more than half empty. This is a great way to get awesome seats to see up-and-coming Leafs for a tenth of the cost of good Leaf seats. Right behind the glass at centre ice, $40 with tax. Wow.

    Marlies are fun to watch

by hockyefanz on 2009-11-23Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

Inexpensive affordable hockey in Toronto you say? Not the Leafs. The Leafs farm team though. You can watch the future Leaf stars up close and for cheap. The stadium was only about half full. Concessions were not outrageous, not for what I bought anyway. 2 Coffees (they were pretty good too!) A hotdog and order of fries was 12 bucks. Parking was 12 bucks. Tix for best seats in the house 38 bucks each. Could have sat in the less expensive for 20 bucks and would have been just as good. Not a bad seat at Ricoh Collesium. The game itself could have been more exciting as the Marlies were outclassed 6-3 but I would definitely go again. It was fun.

    Great value

by LavernT on 2009-11-23Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

Going to see the Marlies play is one of the greatest values in Toronto. I don't understand why everyone wants to see the leafs and not the Marlies or the Majors, Generals or Colts for that matter. Great hockey is great hockey!

    Toronto Marlies

    by mrandmrsgrrr8 on 2009-11-23Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

On Nov 22nd our family of four went to the Toronto Marlies vs Lake Erie Monsters hockey game. The product for $10 a seat was tremendous. The game had everything that you look for in a professional hockey game. End to end action, lots of shots, big hits, a fight, overtime and a shootout. The seats were as high as possible at Ricoh and you could see everything. No dead zones. If you want to see some good hockey go see the Marlies regardless of how the Leafs are playing. A a bonus the Leafs held a open practice and that wa a real thrill seeing the guys up close and literally personal.

Our seats were great and so was the game. My son really enjoyed the whole event - game, the games room, and getting an autograph afterwards.
