Toronto Raptors History

The Toronto Raptors were founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada. The Raptors have been the only NBA team based in Canada since the 2001–02 season. After acquiring eight-time All-Star Vince Carter in 1998, the Raptors set league-wide attendance records and made the playoffs from 2000 to 2002. Led by Carter, the Raptors earned their first playoff series win in 2001 and advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Raptors didn't return to the playoffs until the 2006–07 season, when they won the Atlantic Division title. After Masai Ujiri joined as the team's General Manager in 2013, the Raptors became a consistent playoff team, winning five division titles and having their most successful season in 2018. The following year, during the 2019 playoffs, the Raptors earned their first Eastern Conference title and went on to win their first NBA championship, defeating the Warriors in 6 games.

  • Great Time

by Cat McLaugh on 2023-11-02Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

While we may not have won the game; the team won us over. My nephew was there early and got to meet a few players. It was a phenomenal time!

  • Overpriced

by Talal on 2023-11-02Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Raptors aren’t good enough this year to justify their ticket pricing

  • Price gouging!

by Moose on 2023-11-02Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

There were so many empty seats in the arena, and yet the site showed that almost all were resale. There has to be a way to stop bots and people from buying mass number of seats to sell at a profit. its disheartening for the fans who want to see a game but cannot afford the resale prices, and also for the players when so many seats are empty.

  • Most horrendous experiences courtside

    by Brad t on 2023-10-30Rating: 1 out of 5

Thought I would treat myself to a courtside seat. I have never seen racist fans and the staff not only accepted but hugged. If you ever think about sitting courtside, I promise you avoid the raptors

  • Great Home Opener

by Phil on 2023-10-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Raptors looked better than expected for a young team. Nice to pull out a win at the opener

  • Great first game

by Christine on 2023-10-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I had fun at my first raptors game. The only thing I’d mention is that someone stole my home opener shirt before I got to my seat. Luckily an usher was able to get me a spare shirt. Maybe give them away at the ticket scanner gate to prevent it from happening?

  • That's the home team

  • Great family experience!

by Arafat on 2023-10-23Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great family experience at the Raptors game last Friday in the Scotia Bank Arena. Easy to procure the ticket through Ticketmaster and they kept reminding and updating all the information running up to the game. Overall a good experience. This was my son's first Raptors game, so it was special.

  • Ticket price

by Mira on 2023-10-19Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I love to watch raptors game but whenever i check the ticket price i ‘m upset because how much i love to see the raptors playing i can’t buy ticket because it’s expensive and i don’t want to buy the cheapest ticket that’s far better to watch it at home rather to spend something and you are not happy with the seat you selected. I hope next time ticket are more affordable.

  • Exhibition games should be way cheaper

by Mikiss on 2023-10-18Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Exhibition games should be way cheaper for the level of entertainment . The game wasn't not evenly matched and felt like going home. They tickets should be cheaper if that is going to be the level of competition. Would have rather watched at home.

  • Awesome game

by Anne on 2023-10-18Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great game for Raptors to win in that game.

  • NBA Preseason Game

    by Maria C. on 2023-10-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Lineups for the merch were messy and not stanchioned properly. Food way too expensive for the quality and amount. Amazing staff!!

  • Should be Official Game

    by Cali23 on 2023-10-12Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I feel like it was very mickey mouse and should be more official as opposed to Pre Season

  • Good Game, Expensive Stadium

by Meghan on 2023-10-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The game was good! The atmosphere was energetic and contagious, and the moments in between game play were entertaining. However, the stadium itself charges outrageous prices for their food and drink. Regular attendance at games would be possible, if not for the excessive prices inside the stadium.

  • Awesome

by Tara on 2023-10-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was amazing! The seats, the price, the whole experience
