Toronto Raptors History
The Toronto Raptors were founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada. The Raptors have been the only NBA team based in Canada since the 2001–02 season. After acquiring eight-time All-Star Vince Carter in 1998, the Raptors set league-wide attendance records and made the playoffs from 2000 to 2002. Led by Carter, the Raptors earned their first playoff series win in 2001 and advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Raptors didn't return to the playoffs until the 2006–07 season, when they won the Atlantic Division title. After Masai Ujiri joined as the team's General Manager in 2013, the Raptors became a consistent playoff team, winning five division titles and having their most successful season in 2018. The following year, during the 2019 playoffs, the Raptors earned their first Eastern Conference title and went on to win their first NBA championship, defeating the Warriors in 6 games.

Awesome home opener! I was up and down in my seat!
Once I had purchased my tickets on line. I was able to download it into my wallet on my phone making it easily ready for my entrance into the Scotiabank Area. A great experience
Having the basketball game at the Bell Center was amazing, the energy that always comes from the Bell Center in support of a sport we don’t have was fantastic. We need more like this. Montreal loves their sports
Fantastic experience fun for everyone if you never seen a basketball game it’s a must.
First NBA game with My son! So excited for next year!
Loved the atmosphere at Bell Centre as well as the games and crowd interactions. Also, organized parking system
Amazing experience, great evening of Basketball! And a win for the Raptors, with an extra 5min OT:) What's not to like?! Well actually the seats at the Bell Center! It is down right criminal that for someone of average height and size, my knees don't fit straight and my shoulders overlap with my neighbours on both side! The seats are at best fit for pre-teens going to a boyz-band concert, not for average adults!
It was the best experience of my life and it confirmed me that we definitely NEED a basketball team in Quebec
Quelle expérience exceptionnelle! Quelle ambiance à couper le souffle! Wow!
Everything well coordinated. No major lineups for snacks or bathrooms, despite a full house. Courteous staff. Nothing negative I can think of regarding anything. And of course, the event (game) was enjoyable and the crowd was loud and very engaged. Great vibes.
Très belles soirées. Un match unique. Une ambiance extraordinaire. J'espère revivre une autre soirée comme celle-ci.
It was an amazing game to watch between Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics on Friday October 14th. What was a pre-season game had an almost play off feeling in the Bell Centre. For the folks that live in this part of the country, it was an amazing opportunity to see an NBA game live and in person!
Très bon match !! Ambiance de malade !! Encore de la NBA à mtl svp !!
Great experience! Had awesome seats and the game was great! Venue was set up very well and everything ran smooth and organized!
Mtl needs a nba team. The crowd was crazy at centre bell. Amazing experience
Great experience, wonderful game, terrific crowd and ambiance. Announcer WAY, WAY too loud!
Everything was great, i loved it. it was my first NBA event 🤩
Un beau match et l’ambiance était super. Nous avons fait des jaloux. Nous avons hâte au prochain match.
I wish we can have them play here more often or have our very own NBA team! It was absolutely amazing and a very entertaining one with OT.
Attended my first ever Basketball game. Had a great experience. Non stop action. Good ambiance. Get to see the talent first hand.
