Toronto Raptors History
The Toronto Raptors were founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada. The Raptors have been the only NBA team based in Canada since the 2001–02 season. After acquiring eight-time All-Star Vince Carter in 1998, the Raptors set league-wide attendance records and made the playoffs from 2000 to 2002. Led by Carter, the Raptors earned their first playoff series win in 2001 and advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Raptors didn't return to the playoffs until the 2006–07 season, when they won the Atlantic Division title. After Masai Ujiri joined as the team's General Manager in 2013, the Raptors became a consistent playoff team, winning five division titles and having their most successful season in 2018. The following year, during the 2019 playoffs, the Raptors earned their first Eastern Conference title and went on to win their first NBA championship, defeating the Warriors in 6 games.

What a great show to be part of, amazing to see the NBA in Montreal for once. I wish this was more often, and even better that Montreal get a NBA team one day.
It was an excellent experience. Me and my son enjoyed really well. We hope that you’ll have the pre season game here in our city of Calgary next year.
Seemed like a really good game. Our seats were section 106 AA SEATS 6-9. I figured buying AA seats we would be court side, but floor seats were added and we couldn’t see ANYTHING.
First NBA game, and to be honest it was amazing. We should have more NBA game at montreal.
So much fun watching the Raps in Montreal! The atmosphere was great. Didn’t feel like just a pre season game at all.
gift for my son's 18 th birthday. we were sitting in row 123 BB very close. Amazing, will go back if they come back.
It was amazing to see Toronto Raptors live for the first time in my life and that in Montreal!! Great show and organisation.
This was the second NBA game I had attended, and the first for the rest of my family. It far exceeded all of our expectations. Rogers and NBA staff (including teams) were friendly and surprisingly approachable. One of the Utah Jazz players gave his arm sleeve to my son after the third quarter. It was a truly amazing experience for all of us. Rogers was a perfect venue and everything appeared to go smoothly from the fan perspective. The game, itself, was great and made even better by the fact that the Raptors won of course. We sincerely hope that the NBA returns to Rogers Place in the future for preseason or (even better) regular season games. It's a world-class facility, and Albertans showed that there is support for the NBA and, specifically, the Raptors, in this province. The Raptors are the 'other' Team Canada. If you schedule the games, we will show up and support them every single time. Thanks for this experience.
This team is just amazing! The crowd go crazy everytime! Winning or not wethenorth
Speakers would come on and off. Was super annoying. Brought it to the attention of the staff at the information booth and they said they would send someone up but they never showed.
My parents, my son and I enjoyed the game very much. They had a great time and the atmosphere was great!
great game to watch. wish raptors would have annual game in edm. food and beverage prices are insanely overpriced and that is frustrating - and lineups during breaks sucks too. entry smooth even with metal detectors etc.
The Raptors game in Edmonton was great. Had a wonderful time.
It was my first ever nba basketball game, and i wasnt sure how watching basketball without commentary was going to be . It was alot of fun. Sense this event was a special event. I was expecting the players to be a bit more interactive after the game. Other then that, everything was expensive. Go raptors
Non-stop action and entertainment from the moment you arrive! First time ever seeing a live NBA game, and I’d go back in a heartbeat! The energy in the building is spectacular and you can literally feel in pulsating through your body!
Edmonton needs an NBA team. What are we doing???????
Having the opportunity to watch a NBA game in Edmonton was amazing! And more that it was the Toronto Raptors !
Being a huge basketball fan, especially of the raptors, i was in awww. I am beyond thrilled to have seen the Raptors play in Edmonton with my husband. My seats were very good, but boy did i wish we had floor seats. I hope one day to make it to Toronto for another game. I loved every minute of the experience. Thankyou to the nba, bobby webster, masai ijuiri, and nick nurse for all you do for the team, and for bringing canada more chances to see the Raptors play. Xo
We were able to get tickets during the pre-sale but they sold out so fast. Planning to get 6 tickets but was only allowed 4 then we I went back in, it's all sold out. Wish you could've allowed more tickets per purchase.
