Tyler, supported by Jaden Smith and Goldlink, was an amazing show. You could also tell the crowd was hyped as EVERYONE knew the words and we drowned out the artists at some points. A great (self-bought) graduation present.
I have had the pleasure of seeing Tyler live in concert twice now and I must say that he continues to grow and improve on his work and especially live performances while maintaining the creativity and originality that he had when I first saw him over 6 years ago. He does a phenomenal job of getting the audience riled up and there is pure energy in what he does, especially as he incorporates physical motion into the performance (not unlike James Brown). The best part is that now he has majorly improved on production value and had a beautiful set as the backdrop to the performance; it did not just liven it up, but also accentuated the work. This concert made me realize how much Tyler's fan base has changed over the years, so I am truly glad that his brazenness has not, nor is he a watered down version of his old self.
I was in the pit and it was wild. For a first time concert goer who was anxious about being in the pit, it was a great show. He worked the crowd really well and performed every song perfectly.
I definitely missed Taco's DJ set, but Vince? Great set. The lights were a bit much; many bright lights that often washed Vince out and took moments for my eyes to adjust afterwards. The sound on the skits and intermissions was WAY too loud, especially when they used a lot of the audio snow effect. But Vince was the perfect opener for Tyler. I would definitely love to see him again. Tyler the Creator is hilarious, talented and high-energy. The show was great, from set to set list. I loved the crowd interaction, the modified arrangements to songs that kept even the most obsessed fan in suspense. But can we talk about the venue? Who thought a wide open arena with NO SCREENS and high ass seating would be a good idea for a Hip Hop Show? The experience was the equivalent of 80 people standing around watching on someone's iPhone 5. To this day I have NO idea if that was actually Tyler because of how far away I was. And the distance caused this annoying delay which made Tyler look off beat by the time the audio reached where we were seated. Ricoh Colosseum is not the place for a live show. Acoustically and Visually, it was totally inappropriate.
Best night of my life, Tyler puts on such an amazing show and the venue and staff were really nice.
Vince Staples was a great opener and Tyler’s energy is very charismatic. Loved the show!
This show was amazing. The opener, Vince Staples, put on an incredible set. The wait wasn’t too long before Tyler performed, and his set (both the songs and the actual physical set design) was great. The only complaint I have is that the Ricoh Coliseum is a huge pain to get to, confusing to get into, and another annoyance to get a ride from an Uber afterwards. Just out of the way and not the greatest venue for a show like this.
This was my sixth time seeing Tyler, the Creator and as usual he didn't disappoint. However, it seemed as if the staff had never held an event like that there before and they were very unorganized. The seating was not ideal for that kind of event and during the show we could see that the floor was only half full even though tickets online sold out very quickly.
Tyler, the creator was amazing. He has such a hype stage presence and interacts with the crowd. 10/10 would reccomend
Nothing special. Only preformed for an hour . Mostly bored the whole time. I think it was also bc we were seated
From the start to finish, the Tyler, the Creator show was amazing even though it was my first concert that is arena-based/Coliseum-based. When I went there, the atmosphere was actually an interesting setting and that the stage setup was amazing on both parts. Taco, who is apart of Odd Future (Tyler's rap collective) had a DJ set where he mainly played some top 40 hip-hop/rap tracks dating back from 2009 to now. It was dope and he managed to maintain the hype for the crowd when he played tracks that meant a lot to the fans (ex. Kid Cudi, Drake). Next, Vince Staples showed the Toronto crowd some love by setting up the countdown video (set at 7:45; from one of his song) until his set started and showed various clips on the screen before his songs and he performed amazingly well with a lot of focus and drive. He managed to make sure that his album is promoted correctly by performing most of the songs from there, while playing some classics for the fans. Overall, he maintained the crowd and made sure everyone had a good time. Finally, Tyler, the Creator showed up with the most amazing stage set-up as well and played a lot of interesting tracks for the crowd from his Flower Boy album. This was the type of set to really dance to and be yourself since he wanted the crowd to go crazy and forget about what's not important (ex. recording show, texting), and just have fun. He also played classic tracks from his WOLF, Cherry Bomb, and Goblin albums and the crowd went very crazy, including me. Overall, it was an amazing show and I highly recommend checking him out live.
Amazing. I've been to a lot of concerts and this was by far the best. Lots of energy, Tyler is an amazing performer
