UNCLE ACID AND THE DEADBEATS IN CONCERT:
Uncle Acid and the Dead Beats deliver heavy, psychedelic tunes that revive the darkest sounds of metal pioneers from the ‘60s and ‘70s. These masters of mayhem crank their amps to eleven to produce a never-ending onslaught of fuzz-driven guitar riffs on their pummeling epics. Beneath the growling guitars, the rhythm section hammers out a heart-pounding beat that’s guaranteed to keep ticket buyers headbanging. With a killer arsenal of gruesome jams like “Poison Apple”, “Death’s Door”, and “13 Candles” at their disposal, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats unleash their unrelenting sound wherever they appear on tour, much to the delight of their doom metal devotees.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Cambridge, England metal enthusiasts Uncle Acid and the Dead Beats began turning heads with their gory stories and monstrous sound around 2009. K.R. Starr (vocals/ guitar) teamed up with brothers Yotam (guitar/ vocals) and Itamar Rubinger (drums) to bring their sludgy tunes and demented aesthetic to the masses starting with their 2010 debut Volume 1. Their sophomore album Blood Lust arrived in 2012 and tracks like “Death’s Door” and “I’ll Cut You Down” drew favorable comparisons to the early sounds of Alice Cooper and Mountain. The group lived out a life-long fantasy in 2013 when they were offered the opportunity to embark on a European tour with a reunited Black Sabbath. Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats continue to explore the depths of their dark and menacing sound both in their impressive live performances and their stellar recorded output, which includes 2015’s acclaimed album The Night Creeper.

I recently attended my first show in 2 years- King Buffalo and Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats. I really enjoyed King Buffalo, what a great opener. They were a powerhouse of a band. Uncle Acid were amazing, killer guitar playing! The screens were intense, the dark imagery was a little creepy, very intense! Ha. I'm never a fan of flashing intense lights or screens, so that element could have been toned down. Musically the show was top notch. I highly recommend you see Uncle Acid and King Buffalo if you have the chance. Amazing guitars!
My first show since before the pandemic, and man it was a lot of fun. The Commodore has always been my favourite venue of that size, and Uncle Acid and King Buffalo - my first time seeing either live - absolutely ripped it up!
