    Golden Bears Hockey is high level hockey, great pace and the arena is a fun atmosphere. Inexpensive food and drinks and cheap parking.

    Great (and inexpensive) night out for our family. Our kids and their friends had a great time, they got some pucks during the team’s pregame skate which was very special for them.

    Good experience overall, haven't been to a live game for awhile. My only complaint the facility (Cold Lake Events Centre, Cold Lake, AB ), has terrible WiFi, I had to physically leave the building to get our tickets on my phone. Otherwise, amazing arena, awesome food and beverage service and good hockey.

    The hockey games we attended were top quality very good players. Well worth going to . I hope in the future we will be able to get some more games I for one will attend. Also very well organized

    Attended a couple Bears hockey playoffs vs UBC this past weekend and the quality of the hockey was outstanding. Atmosphere was terrific. This was my first experience in the Claire Drake Arena and was surprised how antiquated the facility is and could very well use a modernization upgrade of the facilities / seating / sound system / clock / washrooms could really use some love. Also how there is no live singers for the National Anthem ; with 35000 students there has got to be some talent available to pay some budding singers to show their talents

    The rink is dangerous to play in with boards that don’t move and it is not the right size for semi-pro or university hockey. (It is a little kids rink) The rink should be reserved only for non-checking hockey leagues Important games such as semi-finals should not be held in Clare Drake arena. The referees selected did not have experience to high calibre university men’s hockey. Heavy drinking results in rude Alberta fans
