Very fun evening at the rink. My only complaint would be the inefficient beer sales lineups? It’s an old rink with not much vending space but maybe another satellite outlet for important games would alleviate the problem and create more sales?

Video reply great. Need to address beer line ups when the crowd is large. Playoffs are over an hour to get a single beer. Might as well turn the sound system off as its so bad no one can hear what the guy is saying.
The hockey game itself was great! Very fast paced hockey game! 3 great periods followed by two overtime’s and a shootout! Loved that part! But I brought my family and I was very disappointed in the fans. I get that the majority of the crowd there was young people but have some respect. When your main chant is yelling the opposing teams goalie to F-you I don’t think that’s necessary. And flipping the bird to players and telling players to f-off….this was SO not necessary at all!
We loved every minute and we were so happy to see the support for the U25 Men's hockey team. We also enjoyed the performances of the Shumka Dancers on the big screen between periods and the choir that sang the national anthems before the game were outstanding.
Two different systems on display. Lessons learned mainly by the young Ukraine team. Great entertainment…. fun…. Support.
Came to watch the sold out Ukrainian national junior team play the Golden Bears. The game was fantastic but the seats, aisles and basically every part of the rink was disgustingly filthy !! I took pictures of the filth and still can’t believe that there is nobody on the payroll that is paid to clean the building. I should go to my Physician and get a Tetanus shot, as that is how bad it really is And more so, it is embarrassing that the University allows this disgustingly dirty arena to be as it is. It seems that it doesn’t change as when I played there 35 years ago, it was also disgustingly dirty. I’m sure the cleanliness is a running joke to all that have to travel here and play. Totally embarrassing to all !!!
To attend this momentous game with so much emotional in the air in support of University Hockey and especially guests from the Ukraine and their cause (for hockey and against an awful war) was amazing. Though the Ukraine only scored once it was a goal to remember with how loud the crowd cheered. Most fans were respectful of both teams despite what team colors they wore - showing the true spirit of the game and hoe Hockey is such a great sport that unites the world even in diffcult times. I'm very grateful I was able to attend this event with little one, as the memories created will live on forever. I hooe both teams travel safe always and may the war in Ukraine end !
Great hockey for a great value. Cheap tickets, cheap beer, and a great atmosphere. You can watch the students build multiple bear cup pyramids.
Good intense game. My son likes the okd school arena sounds etc. was good.
This was some of the best hockey I've watch live in a very long time.
This was the first game that me and my wife have been two in two years. It was absolutely fantastic. The only concern or suggestion I would make for the experience, is the Golden Bears need to put more money into the game day experience. Nice to see they have a big screen. Thanks for having us, it was a great night.
Fast paced, great atmosphere, tickets well priced, awesome night out!! Definitely will be watching more next season!!
Loved watching the Golden Bears play on home ice. Great viewing and an in the action feel from the stands. There needs to be a lobby/ bathroom upgrade but stands are awesome to watch from.
I am a 43 year old alumni of the U of A and the Golden Bears Hockey Team was every bit as good and competitive as I remembered. The children loved their first exposure to the Bears and enjoyed the puck toss and one of them caught a t-shirt thrown into the crowd. Good venue, good seats, easy ticket purchase from Ticket Master and quick line up to enter venue. All in all a fantastic game and the Bears won! They won the Western Championship in a close and exciting game and eventually swept that series and they are now playing for the Cup in Nova Scotia.
Over all a good experience. However the sound system at Clair Drake is awful. I it hard to make out what the announcers are saying.
The best hockey value in the country. These guys are relentless and & very skilled. Very fast paced & entertaining hockey.
Golden Bears hockey games at Clare Drake are always a good time. Great hockey, cheap tickets, cheap beer, all around great experience!
CIS hockey is great value for the money. For $12 got to see hockey that is higher than major junior but below minor pro in play. Good atmosphere and good value on concessions. Good place to bring kids.
Teams come in to Clare Drake expecting to lose, and they almost always do! For $12-15 dollars for a non-studend adult, and $5.50 for a pint of Big Rock in cans, you cannot go wrong. Beats watching the Oilers mail it in...
