Vancouver Canucks History
The Vancouver Canucks started play in 1970, entering the league along with the Buffalo Sabres. Vancouver has been to the Stanley Cup Final on three occasions, though they lost to the New York Islanders in 1982, the New York Rangers in 1994 and the Boston Bruins in 2011.
Despite humble beginnings, the Canucks continued to develop. With the arrival of three key players — Captain Trevor Linden, netminder Kirk McLean, and "the Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure, the Canucks had a winning Playoff run season — making it to the 1994 finals.
The Canucks continued to acquire superstars like Alexander Mogilny and Markus Näslund, and while the following years meant a series of losses, it allowed for the team to draft Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who would go on to lead the Canucks to Presidents' Trophies in back-to-back seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as their finals appearance in 2011.

Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena
The Vancouver Canucks play their home games at the 475,000-square foot Rogers Arena, which also played host to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games where Sidney Crosby scored the “Golden Goal.” A staple of downtown Vancouver, the Canucks played their first game at the arena on October 9, 1995. Other notable events that have taken place at the arena include the 1998 NHL All-Star Game, 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and in October 2002 when Queen Elizabeth II dropped the ceremonial first puck during an NHL exhibition game between the Canucks and San Jose Sharks. Additionally, the arena played host to Games 1, 2, 5, and 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals.

There was a great vibe in the Abbotsford Centre cheering on our Canucks. We live in Abbotsford so it was Great to travel local to see the team.
Game was great and having them in Abby was amazing. Being able to see the Canucks play closer to home and up close was great. Prince is way better as well.
Vancouver Canucks is awesome! I love them so much I was cheering them on while watching the preseason game. We had some mini donuts, beer and Cotton candy. We had a great time. We took lots of pictures so memories will be with us forever. I highly recommend going to a game. The experience is great but a bit pricey but what you're going to do they the one of most popular hockey teams in Canada
What better way to finish a play off hockey series with a game 7 thriller! To Great Canadian teams! Atmosphere was Amazing and so were the Canuck fans! Memories to last a life time!
My first time seeing live games very exciting, thrilling, uplifting, entertaining, encouraging, but room for improvement
Very entertaining event. Felt like you were at the game live
Nothing beats play offs vibe, cheering with the whole city is an expensive experience with no regrets! See you next year!!
Great Atmosphere. It was such a great idea to host a viewing party. Though , it was a bit painful to try and get tickets but I got lucky to snag a couple so am pretty happy about that. I know some people didn’t get lucky and was very upset on the system.
Playoff hockey is amazing. But these fans make kids cry and chirp kids and it isn't cool.
Such an amazing experience even though it was only a watch party but the set up was like an actual game. The arena was buzzing and this is a great way to give other fans opportunity to experience the playoffs.
I admire our boys’ teamwork; They play more than hockey. Go Canucks Go
Canucks are a great team but need to maintain lead if they get it or if trailing behind just keep attacking the opponent goal so that it creates pressure and they get goal.
The experience was absolutely amazing going again once the tickets are released
There is nothing much I can say about this event accept brilliant+++ with the exception of course of not winning but hey we won game 5. From the man on the elevator who was excellent every time I got on the elevator so pleasant and upbeat to the 50/50 volunteers, food and drink personnel to the group that made sure the bathrooms were spotless. The kids that finally got to actually go see their heroes that they wouldn't normally get to see as games are cost prohibitive to tge entertainment for the kids. The crowds great and the police exceptional. Bring it on Game 6 - fingers crossed i manage to get tickets again. Job well done.
Loved the "Viewing Party"event on Tuesday, May 14th! It was so much fun; atmosphere was electric; everyone was there for the one purpose of Cheering on The Team! It felt like a Home-Game, but with affordable tickets! There should be a re-set of how expensive tickets are for the live games! So that everyone can afford to be there at Rogers Arena!
Zadorov drills Kane into Oilers bench, gets punched from Foegele
Been to many games and this feels the same if not better! Full of true fans!!! Woot woot
Easy and fast process to get into Roger's Arena. Great experience.
The atmosphere as always, was electric. Just like being at a ‘real’ game! The jumbo tron gives you a great viewing angle from just about anywhere you sit. And to have a playoff towel on EVERY seat was super! Whoever thought of the idea of a viewing party, not to mention the affordability and charity benefits should be awarded with a promotion! Genius idea!!!!
