    Wonderful performance

by Tb on 2019-11-20Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Wonderful performance, as good as the one we saw in NYC! Queen E needs to figure out a better system for the women’s bathroom. You could end up spending the whole intermission in the loo and then some coming back late and not being seated.

The story has such potential, but this show was so very patchy that it was hard to stay engaged. The vocals were shreiked, perhaps due to the (ugly) headsets, or the tech who didnt adjust them between songs and dialogue. Lovely sets, a nice little "orchestra" but just like the song "Sugar" the score was insipid and lacked panache. Male roles were stronger than the three womens'. The risque scenes were great fun and stood in stark contrast to the sit com like set ups. C-

    Fun show

    by M. B. on 2019-11-19Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I did not know what the show was about. We (mother in-law, sister in-law and step daughter) all really enjoyed it. We would definitely go see it again.

    Wow!!! What a good production!

by Aissa on 2019-11-19Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I thoroughly enjoyed this play. A mixture of different personalities, friendships all with personal issues. A very upbeat presentation, great musical numbers.

great seats for a last minute purchase

by L. on 2019-11-19Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

found it hard (at times) to hear the 3 female waitresses-maybe it was the background "noise" of the band or their mikes had moved. Otherwise it was great

    Impressive performance

by Bruce on 2019-11-19Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

With a right blend of drama, comedy and catchy tunes, this Broadway hit delivers. The staging was very detailed with no expense spared. Bailey McCall was great as Jenna and the supporting cast was on the mark. It was a lengthy production, just over 2 1/4 hours but time seemed to fly. Overall a very enjoyable Theatre experience. We would see Waitress again.

    Fun & heartwarming!

by Theatrelover on 2019-11-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Waitress was a wonderful surprise on the musical circuit! Excellent singing combined with solid acting and creative choreography will keep your attention from the minute the curtain goes up to the minute it goes down. My only complaint is that is was over too soon! One of the most enjoyable nights I’ve had in a long time!

    Disappointing!

by G. on 2019-11-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Like 30 minute sitcom lasting 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Not worth 50 characters to submit this reply.

    Sweet and saucy!

by Jessica on 2019-11-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

This production was amazing, especially in a venue as classic and beautiful as the QET. The flirty love story and the ominous themes of frustration and abuse were brought together in an ending that did not disappoint. With a fantastic cast and crew to backnot up, Waitress is not a show to miss.

    Disappointed.

by Islander on 2019-11-16Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

We left at the intermission which speaks volumes! The production was dated, repetitive, unmusical and downright simple. No costume, nor set design to elevate the presentation. The acting and singing was below par but granted, there was little to work with. We travelled to see two shows in Vancouver. The first was excellent, a perfectly balanced production, so good that it compensated for our second experience with “Waitress”. First time we have ever left early from a Queen Elizabeth show but life is too short to sit through banality. We appreciate that hard work went into this effort but it was a show without substance or merit.

    I love broadway musicals

    by T. S. on 2019-11-16Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I amglad that i went to see "Waitress". I didnt know the storyline before hand. Personally, i was not impressed with all of the sexual positions. I would have been embarrased to have minors there. From where i was sitting in the bacony section, it was really hard to see the facial espressions and quite a bit of them just sitting on the couch. Their voices were great, especially the Africsn Americzn lady. If i were to rate this musical from 1 to 10. 10 being the best. I would rate it at a 5. Its nothing personal, i just didnt see any spectscular moments in it. However, I am extremely glad i went as i love supporting the Arts. Sincerely Tracie Smuland

    I'm too old fashioned

by Edo Monagas on 2019-11-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Loved the book, but the score was boring and tuneless. No modern composers are capable anymore of writing tunes that you come out humming or will ever enter the "American Songbook". But I keep trying and keep hoping for that new musical with real, melodic, memorable "show tunes". Finding Neverland is next. Fingers crossed!
