    Fun

by Lisa on 2020-02-12Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

This experience was upbeat and fun! But, definitely different than expected. Please know that this will not be a classic rock experience. This did not feel like a Queen tribute at all. The theme was a light pop music sound. That being said, the performance was fun and the performers were all so, so talented!! Well done, but it won't 'rock you', more like 'pop' you!

    Amazing

by Sharon on 2020-02-12Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Totally enjoyed the show from start to finish. The music was incredible. The lead voices were exceptional especially Galileo. Audience was totally into it as well which always increases the enjoyment to me. My only complaint is that my friend and I were both charged $40 for the $20 t-shirts we purchased which we didn’t realize until we got home. Other than that 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

    Great except for the drunk

by Queen Fan Revived on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

The show was amazing and the talent extraordinary. I highly recommend it and would see it again. My only complaint is with the Meridian Hall itself. Two people were so intoxicated in front of us that he actually passed out. People in the row had to climb over the back of their seats to get out. Staff at the bar should not have served him at intermission when he was drunk before the show even started. Disappointing.

Second time seeing it. Show is so much fun. Music and vocals are unparalleled! Great venue. We’d go back and see it again. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

    We will Rock you

by Mamala on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Best time I've had at the theatre for ages. The cast was fabulous. The lead singers were terrific. As a lover of all things Queen I really enjoyed the whole experience. If the show ever comes back to Toronto I'll be sure to see this again.

    Disappointing

by TOnotrocked on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

It has been years but my family has seen this play before and we were looking forward to it’s return. This performance was flat and even awkward at times. The story was uninspiring, the acting was bad, the set was comprised of step ladders and boxes.

    Ok

by Lisa on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

I was skilled when i saw this last. About 10 to 12 years ago i couldn't get enough of WWRY that i ended up going 3 times. Powerful voices back then and was hoping for the same this time round. Although entertaining because of Queen's music and the storyline, the singing was not. I found them quite squeaky? The guy who sang for Gal was good... but i can't say the same for the rest. wish it was better but nonetheless we still had an ok time.

Not what it's cracked up to be

by Theatre Buff on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Disappointing. I love this show; have seen it many times. But this version...meh. The band was amazing; the two lead singers were great; the rest of the casting was iffy and the directing and costumes - blah. I don't mind a show being modified over time, but this was ruining a great show. As I said, disappointing.

    Basically the greatest thing ever

by GlobalsoftPirka on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

As a long time fan of this musical it was amazing to see this new cast and new take on it yet still have the story and characters very much the same. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget in my entire life.

    Cheesy Story Line

by BeeGee on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Band was solid. Main performers average. Costumes/wardrobe sub-par. Story Line was beyond Cheesy for our 50+ year old group who all were big fans of Queen growing up. We all departed at intermission. Not a wise $100+/ticket investment.

I felt so good listening to the wonderful Queen classics that I was dancing in my seat! I can hardly wait to see it again!

    Horrible Play

by Anon on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

This was a painful play to get through. Horrible plot, horrible jokes, horrible characters. The only things that got me through were the talented actors and the songs.

We Will Rock You still rocks!!

by BeckyG on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Saw this show many times during original run 2007/2008. Some small changes were made to keep it timely, but still great entertainment. Super energy; silly but fun story to tie in the FANTASTIC music of Queen. Travelling cast has good, solid leads, although they just couldn't quite live up to the original Toronto leads, Yvon Pednault and Erica Peck. Absolutely worth the ticket price though.

    Awesome Lead !!

by Uncle Joe on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

The lead actor and singer, Trevor Coll, owned Meridian Hall in his performance of Galileo on Saturday night. The show would have been good without him, but it was exceptional with him. His powerful and emotive voice sent chills down my spine and tears in my eyes. I am 75 years old, and have attended many musicals, but this one was by far, the best....because of Trevor. I have never seen any actor pour so much energy into the role, from flips to jumps to climbs. At the same time, I have never seen an actor use facial and eye expressions so fully. During the finale, when the crowd was standing, I turned around from my fourth row seat to look at the audience: the tears and cheers told me that Trevor Coll owned the house. Why was his name not more prominently displayed? He is the show!!

    Super awesome experience

by Little One on 2020-02-11Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

We had such a fantastic night, the cast was so energetic and enthusiastic it was impossible not to get swept up in the music, singing and dancing. From start to finish there was a sense of joy in the room which culminated in a standing ovation! What a night to remember, hats off to this amazing show, We Will Rock You. Yes you sure did!!!!
