WICKED is a Tony-winning sensation that has been defying gravity and delighting Broadway audiences since 2003. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, the fantastical prequel to The Wizard of Oz was nominated for 10 Tony Awards after it opened at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City, and won three, including Best Actress for Idina Menzel, who played the original Elphaba. The musical’s first national tour opened in 2005 and ever since, WICKED’s touring production has criss-crossed North America offering theatergoers one short day in the Emerald City filled with magic, music and the ”untold true story of the Witches of Oz.” The second national tour — known as the “Munchkinland Tour” — has been an open-ended production since 2009 and now stars Olivia Valli as Elphaba and Celia Hottenstein as Glinda.

Hilarious show that explains everything Wizard of Ozish! Would go again.
From the moment the show started it had your attention! Curious twist which makes one think of the show "Wizard of Oz" differently now. Would strongly recommend if you like musicals! Very much enjoyed!
Wonderful choice of actors, possibly better than the original cast!
The music was great and funny in parts but didn't quite captivate me from start to finish.
Everything from the performers, the music, the sets....all amazing...would go again if it returns to calgary
Great show for young & old - guys & dolls! What you didn't know about the yellow brick road!
I got nice seats for a promo ticket, the show was superb!
The musicial was amazkng and the jubilee had everyone I. Character as well
Just don't compare to the Wizard of Oz.....it goes in a totally different direction.. great.
It was amazing. I am going back for another show. I highly recommend going.
From the beginning, you are treated to a well selected cast of characters. Sets are well designed and very effective , at putting you into scene. Lead rolls are well done, and script is amazing. Would go see this again!
This was a fabulous show. I purchased these tickets as a gift for my daughter. She has the soundtrack and is always singing the songs around the house. I,however had no idea what the story was about other than the witches of Oz. The story line was great, really gripping and the performances were top rate.
Great Show!!! my only concern was the amount of people who were not in their seats after intermission. Took about 5 mins for everyone to get back to their seats. This was very upsetting as you miss some of the show with people getting into their seats.
I had been excited to see this play for some time. In the past I have seen Les Miserables, The Lion King, Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia and many other musicals so I had high hopes for this one as I heard many great things about the production on Broadway. Unfortunately the singing was very poor. Both my guest and I felt like both the leads were yelling their parts as opposed to singing and many time decided to just speak through what would have normally been a singing part. It became really obnoxious and took the excitement out of the experience for us. We ended up leaving early.
Totally enjoyable. Would see again and again. Has become my new favorite musical
This show was amazing! It made smile and laugh, frown and cry. Really captured my attention to a point that I forgot I was in a theatre filled with hundreds of people. The actors and actresses really blew me away with their singing! Even my boyfriend, who was forced to come and knew nothing about Wicked, found himself enjoying the show and could clearly understand and follow the storyline. Fantastic job to the cast and everyone behind the scenes!!
Fabulous production! The performers, set, costumes and writing will whisk you away to the Land of OZ! Need to see it again!
I found that even though the play strayed from the actual novel, they did a great adaptation. I loved the humour that was inserted. I wasn't expecting it, but felt it added a lot of personality to the play. The voices were amazing as well.
Colorful production, great storyline. A wonderful night out!
This performance was excellent. The music was great, the performers themselves were awesome and the story kept us engaged the whole time. A great twist to the Wizard of Oz.
