Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (now the Arizona Coyotes). In the 12 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made seven playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

The game was electric with fans chants and cheering! When Stacy sang O’Canada, just hearing everyone sing with her and the loud reverberation of “True North” gave me goosebumps! Was a great game and a great experience.
Great team effort! Thanks to Nino flipping a puck to our grandson on his 7th birthday
Perfection go on With friends or family for every situation
I did not realize that so many TO fans would attend this game. Although I spent the first 33 years of my life in Ontario, I have never been a Maple Laffs fan, so it was rather nightmarish to be surrounded by them standing, talking and high-fiving over my head. Even by a prominent WFP sports writer! I knew I was in trouble when I saw so many TO jerseys outside our arena, & it only got worse. Should have learned my lesson about going to a game vs TO Maple Laffs 50 years ago on my first honeymoon when I watched my favorites ‘Les Habs’ lose to them. Anyway other than that, I had a great seat, watching the Jets live was still a great experience, and only loss so far
Was my first live hockey game in years, took my nephew for his birthday to his first game and we both had a great time, definitely going again with, The boys!
Easy to buy, easy to manage. Just perfect place for entertainment such as Hockey game
i usually purchase an aisle seat and when i did this time, Canada Life Centre, Section 301, row 4, seats 13, 14, and 15 - ticketmaster said they were aisle seats, but not at all.they were at the end of the row next to the concrete entrance to the seats. disappointing. those ones should not be advertised as aisle as they certainly are not!
New security process was very easy. Into the game with no delay.
The game and experience was great but $39 for two Jets dogs and a water for my kids was a tad ridiculous.
