Whiteout good, tickets bad idea

Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (then the Arizona Coyotes, who were in play from 1994 to 2024). In the 14 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made eight playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

The family zone was great. Not as many as I thought there would be outside of that. I think “selling” tickets was a bad idea and affected attendance.
The whiteout party was exciting to be at. The area in front of the police station was perfect to watch the live action streaming . If I could say cons is that the ticket process seemed to damper the whiteout way . Not as many people came . Also the drinks were extremely expensive and mikes hard lemonade ran out way early. The food trucks were great .
The whiteout party was way better before we needed the free tickets! When we went to enter the bar code wouldn’t show on our tickets and the ticket takers didn’t want to let us in! I know attendance is way down since the tickets came in effect, poor idea!
$425.00 and they don't score a single, goal!!! A fool, and his money are soon parted.
Please, leave this a ticketless event, I went to others and felt it was a lot better than this one that required tickets. Was still ok, but should be left free and first come first served sort of basis.
I took my friend and and a few others for a birthday celebration and the experience was excellent! Much better than the whiteout street party. You are guaranteed a seat and much more relaxing.
Amazing game and atmosphere. The whiteout. Go Jets Go
This was a stupid idea by our city to make people get a ticket to attend street party as we can see our attendance is down and lots of people won't attend to support our jets way to go to look the positive wpg energy for all the fans
It was nice to see a lot of police presence there, and the fact we saw snipers as we called them, but we all knew that was swat team watching over us from the building above to see if anything was happening. only fails were too crowd, alcohol being brought in (mickeys were missed for bag checks) the main tv was too small and too low for everyone to see, the one infront of the police station was amazing, and somehow people were able to smoke weed still in
Set up is getting better every time. They need more food vendors. Possibly a couple of hot dog carts would be a big help
When you get that many Jets fans in the same place, it’s bound to be a good time. The energy was crazy and it was a great game.
Looking for a great whiteout exp but nobody showed up
True North put on a great event. Tickets were a great idea to make sure people didn’t come for nothing. They just need to charge people that resell or not use them.
This event was a lot of fun but wish there was more screens to view in one area for people like myself who are short
I had so much fun! The crowd was craaazy good! There was so much excitement
This has been the best way to watch an away game!!
Will definitely go again if possible! Had a great time! GO JETS GO
I didn't really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. - Great crowd, all the usual reactions, cheers, the 'wave', booing players, waving towels - At times you almost forgot you were watching it on the screen and the players weren't really there. - Our seats were at the end and although the view of the screen was straight on, we were very disappointed that the facility had not lowered / removed the mesh screening behind the net. - This had a big effect on viewing the big screen. - it doesn' affect the real games so much but watching a screen that's not very close and has alot of white (ice)' to look at, the netting really took away from the clarity. - We moved to seats on the side - luckily we could do that - were at a bit of an angle but MUCH better and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - DEFINITELY worth the $10 bucks.
It was so exciting to be in the arena with thousands of other Jets fans to be able to yell and cheer and chant and hold your breath, waiting for those final few minutes to tick off the clock to our Round 2, Game 7 win! Wow, what a rush of emotions and the atmosphere was amazing!
Next best thing to being at the real game. Wooohoo
