I wasn’t drinking alcohol and tried to get some water and got turned down twice. Then the third place I went tried to charge $5.50 for water. As a DD, I feel like water should be more accessible than this.
Was my first time ever going to a street party! And while the game did not go that well for us, the atmosphere was still great! There was quite a bit to fo plenty of food options available to attendees! You also had access to the Met for bathroom, food and also a warmer place to sit down! I highly recommend going if you have a chance the next time we make it to the most playoffs!
Felt like a safe environment to enjoy the Jets game. Lots of porta potties with wash stations, decent amount of food trucks, good viewing from jumbotrons spread out along the street. Was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and polite everyone was(even the drunk ones!). Squeezing past large crowds everyone said “excuse me, sorry, thank you”. Had our little one with us and people were very mindful not to block his view if standing to watch the game.
The party was amazing. We had a great time and loved the fans there. The prices for the drinks were a bit pricy as they are around $10 a drink Little pricy there but still an amazing way to enjoy the playoffs and best of all we got to see the jets win and some fireworks with every goal makes it a great experience. GO JETS GO
For $10 you got a safe environment to party and cheer for the Jets. Access to The Met to go inside to warm up, or use proper washrooms if you did not want to use a porta potty outside. Great DJ music playing prior to the game starting. Get there early enough to avoid the lineup as they will have a security line to check bags for weapons/booze etc, prior to entering. You are allowed to bring lawn chairs if you didn't feel like standing the entire time.
The entire street party was well organized and a lot of fun. The DJ TURBULENCE was GREAT and read the crowd well. Keeping the party atmosphere going. The main stage was packed and got more and more packed until puck drop. The crowd was fine and respectful until puck drop when many drunk people pushed through the crowd and threw crushed beer cans into the crowd. It nearly missed me hitting a 12 year old beside me. It was getting crazy and I had to leave that area. I wish there were security guards near the main stage as it was getting really pushy with guys and girls. After me and my husband left that area, it was awesome! The other two screens were set up with amazing sound and food and drink easily accessible. The layout made sense but when we were trying to leave we had to figure out where the exits were which was tricky to do. Normally we go inside for the game so staying for the street party was a new adventure. 3 Recommendations: 1. One thing I’d DEFINITELY RECOMMEND is that the screens be higher. It’s tricky to see the whole screen when a person is in front of you. 2. And DEFINITELY up the security for the main stage area! 3. Have the heat towers working for people to warm up Not all were working. Other than that it was great! A fun party atmosphere with accessible food, drinks & awesome music
We enjoyed the whiteout party. Felt the alcoholic beverage were a little expensive. We are in the 3x size and the jets trailer didn’t have any items that would fit us. Disappointed that way.
Overall great experience however there needs to be more ports potti washrooms in each location!
Amazing time. If your looking for a party this is the spot, if you’re looking to watch and analyze the game should probably stay home. Lots of standing but that’s expected. Go jets go!
