Good fun for all ages, good value for the money, and a great experience. The girls from both teams were fantastic and friendly with the crowd, and made everyone feel welcome and involved. Organization could use some work, but given that this is a new league and a new event relying heavily on volunteers, the delays were very forgivable! I'm a fan! See you at the next event April 30!
Expected a proper track whereby the skaters could build up more speed. Track was too slippery and small . Hard hearing announcers. Glad it was only a fundraiser!
I was disappointed that there was no raised course and that it was just tape on the cement floor. It was very hard to hear the announcer but I think they should have had a professional sports announcer give play by plays because everyone in the crowd didn't seem to know what was going on. We were all trying to figure it out for the first half. It seems like this sport is so new that most people don't know all the rules. I also thought there were way too many people in the middle of the course and it all got confusing.
What an entertaining and exciting sport! Sound could have been better, as the play-by-play wasn't clear enough to be understood in the stands.
It was a most enjoyable show...tho it started late due to last minute ticket sales...and way too much unclear chatter from the announcers...the women themselves proved they are tough and sure can take a hit! Too bad the Murder City Mavens lost, but all in all a great show! I'd definately see it again! Maybe next time sit in the Suicide seating! lol
Highly recommended!! It was a fun-filled, intense match that I would pay to see again!! Must see event, Roller Derby is back and action packed!!!
