World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions Tickets

I found that the information they gave regarding the breeding and raising of the horses was informative but not sure the children got anything out of it. I was expecting a lot of "show" preformance but most of it was explaining the training and showing some "tricks" the horses learned to perform. We were waiting for a spectacular finish and there was nothing. I agree that the horses were well trained but the RCMP musical ride is much more entertaining. I also thought the price of the tickets was high especially when there was no price break for the kids under 12.

Having seen the "original" Lipizzaner Stallions at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria almost thirty years ago, we had high expectations, but were somewhat disappointed. The "World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions" is kind of the equivalent of a "tribute band" --- not the same really as the original Abba or Bee Gees, but a taste of their shows. We knew going in that they weren't affiliated with the "original" group, but were hoping for a bit of a better show than we got. The comments of the people around us, especially those with small children, were positive, although some people left during the intermission. Actually, the intermission seemed to be a chance for their merchandising wing to take over. It lasted 15 or 20 minutes and then the second "act" lasted barely 30 minutes. Only a couple of the riders seemed to be enjoying themselves. The others seemed to be very stern and not in a good mood at all --- perhaps it was the rainy weather.

The show was good. Probably not something I would go to see on a yearly basis, but a show that one should consider a once in a lifetime opportunity. A hand out program would have been nice. The one for sale looked good , but too expensive at $12.

I am a fan of horses and was impressed by the animals themselves. I also thought the information provided by the MC was great. Overall the show was good. However, I had expected more aerial performances/jumps, etc. by the horses. Would I go again, probably not, but I am glad I went.

Coming from Europe and having seen the Lipizzaner in Austria I wasn't expecting much. That is why I was even more impressed with such an amazing show! Very entertaining and strongly recommended.

Enjoyed the evening- beautiful well trained and well cared for horses- proficient riders- nice to see the ladies out there-Head master rider and lead stallion awesome performance. Relationships between riders and horses amazing.Thank you for rescuing these fabulous creatures.

I was a little leary of attending this event, after reading a few of the ratings posted on their website blog, BUT ... was I ever glad that I ignored the comments of others, and found out for myself!!! I am so proud of the people who go wayyyyy out of their way to bring this show to everyone; you all do an amazing job! Granted, many more of us who have a little horse savvy and more equine experience may have a stronger appreciation for all of the incredibly hard work it takes to put on a show of this calibre, but all I saw were happy faces all around me at the show. Congrats to all of you - I will go to see this show again, whenever it comes to Calgary!

My daughter and I were very pleased and amazed at what these boys could do. They also had such a beauty and distinction to their forms and routines. Highly recommend taking this in for any horse lover

What we found fascinating was how a horse can be trained and how beautiful they were. On the other hand the show was boring and we spent more time trying to get the kids to focus on the show......Maybe it would have been better had we not brought the kids.

The show was very entertaining. I wish there would have been more jumping like they had done in the past. Unfortunately the show was not very long either. But the hoof work and beauty of those beautiful horses can not be surpassed.

This was our first Lipizzaner show! Really enjoyed it as a family! Learned a lot about the history of the horses! What a great experience!

Suprised my parents with tickets - they had seen it a few years ago and really enjoyed the performance. This time it was a real let down.

The commentator did a fantastic job explaining the war background of the Lipizzaner Stallions. The musical shows were well done and timed with the music. The unique ways these stallions can walk is incredible.

The announcer seemed to read my mind, and answered every question I had about the Lipizzaners history and training. The Riders were very good. And the horses themselves did phenomenal. Their attitudes were so prominent you could see them from stage, and still so well behaved. I wish they had advertised more they definately would have had a much better turn out for an audience.

A very enjoyable time watching the Lipizzaner Stallions!! I don't believe this is a good fit for small children as it is very precise and more for an adult audience.

This show is a must-see for anyone who loves horses (and anyone else who's interested). Watching these majestic, beautiful animals brought me close to tears.

The horses were beautiful, focused, talented, simply amazing. I learned alot about them as well, fascinating. Great blood lines and it truly showed.

This is a once in a lifetime chance to see the most famous performing horses in the world. It was two hours of amazing horse work and great music. It went too quickly. What we saw was worth it.

My wife & I thoroughly enjoy the show. Th beauty & grace of the stallions was a wonderful sight. We were amazed that the riders showed no visible movements while getting the horses to respond to their ever so subtle commands.
