    Lipizzaner Stallions

by Horse on 2009-07-17PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

We attended the matinee on Sunday. The crowd was small. The show started on time and we were enthralled with the horses. I found the lighting very bright and we wished the lights had been turned down so we could see the horses better maybe have a spotlight on them. The presentation was wonderful, everything was explained to us. The horses seemed to enjoy themselves and the riders were very disciplined.

    Lipizzaner Stallions were boring!!

by Bernie on 2009-07-17PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

I must say we were very disappointed. I didn't realize that they were not the Lipizzaners from the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, but instead were from some touring group from Florida. Some of the horses were lame and were unable to perform proper tempi changes. I see better horses and better talented riders right here at home in the lower mainland. I would not recommend spending the money just to see them. Instead go out to Thunderbird or Southlands and support our local dressage riders!!

    Dancing white horses!

by Caesara on 2009-07-17PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

I remember seeing the Lipizzaners as a child, and I was thrilled to see that they haven't lost their mystique. The performance was kid-friendly and horse-crazy. The "air" tricks were incredible, and the information provided by the announcer really fleshed out the story behind each move. I would definitely go to see them again!

    Front Row Lipizzaners

by klch on 2009-07-17PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

The show was longer than expected, those horses really work hard! I don't recommend it for super young children, they were getting jumpy by the end. Sitting in the first two rows is definitely worth it, especially for a "horse-person." That being said, the show is for the general public so some horse people may find it a bit below their level. Still, it's not something one sees everyday so I recommend it for older children (7+) and adults who enjoy horses!

    horses were amazing

by Juggler on 2009-07-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

I and my wife thourghly enjoyed the show of the lipizzaner stalions. The emcee did a very good job of announcing the events of the show as they were about to come before the audiance. I especially enjoyed the riders in their differant attire, they were well and attractively designed to suit the occasion. I was impressed by the way the horses were trained to do the differant steps (side and jumping) and the co-ordination of the horses and the riders in their differant riding patterns. Job well done.

    Lipizzaners Stun with Dance Moves!

by Trollette on 2009-07-17PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

The Lipizzaner Stallions danced and twirled into our hearts at the PNE Agrodome! There was a hush in the crowd and then thundering applause when one of the Stallions leapt into the air from two legs! You did not need to know anything about horses to know that you had just seen something absolutely beautiful and wonderful! Every step the Lipizzanders and Ridgrs took to the music was better than watching "Dancing with the Stars!" The history and detail narrated by the announcer left us hanging on every word. What history! What elegance! What a wonderful treat for this family of 5 to enjoy and remember!

    Lipizzaner Stallions were awesome.

by Lama on 2009-07-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

I took my 15 year old daughter and family friend who had never seen them before. My daughter and her friend were thrilled. The horses are majestic and what they can do is unbelievable. I am very glad we took the opportunity and went to the show.

The kids really enjoyed the show. It was very educational and very cool to see horses do such neat tricks. I would definately recommend this show to other families.

    Lippizaners slightly naughty!

by berlinx on 2009-07-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

While the horses were absolutely beautiful, and very well groomed and polished, they were not behaving very well. They were unable to get 1 clean set of 2 tempi or even tempi changes...although alot of the audience was not really educated enough to see that. I think that the riders should carry spare breeches as a couple of the girls came out with marks and dirty breeches...noticable when wearing white. The costumes were very elegant though. The lighting was WAY too bright. They should have it so that it is a little dimmer, and that would make a much nicer atmosphere, especially for the airs above the ground. Cost of the event I have heard is what turned many possible spectators away. All in all, it was nice to see the beautiful horses and to learn about them, especially hearing how some of them are actually rescued from a failing farm!

    Lippizzaner Stallions

by Jdmwall on 2009-07-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

I've been waiting since I was 12 years (Now 34) old to see the Lippizzaner Stallions perform, it was well worth the wait. They are truely graceful & intelligent stallions, and you learn alot about them throughout the show. It's like a history lesson; but not boring! If you haven't gone you must.

    dissapointed..

by ohenry on 2009-07-16PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

I was dissapointed in the small number of performing horses. I was expecting a real dazzler of a horse show, but did not find that. 6 horses that pranced around and showed all their different steps for the first half of the show, and then finally they did these steps to the music. Yes, they were very good, but a dazzling show? Not.

    Lipizzaners don't disappoint

by lodger on 2009-07-16PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

The horses were beautiful and amazing. Their riders were masterful and fully in control. I was sorry that there were so many empty seats in the arena. The horses were aware that it wasn't a full house. They're smarter than the folks who missed the show.

    Lipizzaner stallions was really disappointing

by CMeReed on 2009-07-16PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

It was not even close to what is advertised on their web site.If you are in to dressage or any horsey type stuff save your money and go see a 3 day eventing show at your local equa sport centre. I was not very impressed nor was my 5 year old daughter.

    by cowgirl1 on 2009-07-16PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

My kids and I loved watching the amazing Lipizzaner Stallions, The way they moved was unforgettable, The style and the Harmony between The horse and rider was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. The Lipizzaner Stallions were graceful and strong. My Favourite presentation from the Stallions was the Capriole.

    Lame Lipizzaners

by OutandAbout on 2009-07-16PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

If you're a 10 year girl who loves horses, this event is for you. If you're hoping for an eye popping show seen with the European Lipizzaners, you'll be disappointed. This one was a knock off from Florida with no excitement or amazement. We left at the intermission. The costumes were simple; the horses did some jumping but there was limited choreography; the announcer was cheesy. A total waste of money and an afternoon.

    Lipizzaner Stallions

by CanadianGramma on 2009-07-16PNE Agrodome - Vancouver

Incredibly expensive for what it was. We were disappointed in the show - albeit there was some interesting history included. Unless there are some dramatic changes in the show, we wouldn't go again.
