About

The WWE is the world's largest wrestling promotion corporation. Founded by Jess McMahon and Toots Mondt in 1953 as Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the organization now hosts more than 500 events per year across the globe. In 1982, McMahon’s grandson Vincent K. McMahon bought Capitol Wrestling and was fundamental to turning the WWE into a widespread and enduring sports entertainment product.

Initially, McMahon built up the WWE roster with future superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper and Jesse Ventura and launched the organization’s annual marquee event, WrestleMania, in 1985. Over the years, WrestleMania has offered plenty of unforgettable moments like the Hulk Hogan-André the Giant championship match in 1987, the generation-shifting face-off between Bret Hart and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in 1997 and The Undertaker’s 21-year winning streak at the event. The WWE will celebrate the 40th annual WrestleMania in 2024.

By the late ’80s and early ’90s, there was a full roster of hardcore brawlers, including Shawn Michaels, Hart, Ric Flair and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who were later joined by a new crop of “Attitude Era” stars such as Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H and Mankind as the organization grew into a touring juggernaut. Another infusion of talent joined the WWE during the late aughts and early ’10s, including John Cena, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, CM Punk, and Becky Lynch.

The WWE continued to reinvent itself as it created the separate Raw and SmackDown brands in 2002, launched various offshoot brands including the ECW and WWE NXT and introduced a 24/7 streaming network in 2014. The companies behind the WWE and mixed-martial arts promoter Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) merged into TKO Group Holdings in 2023.

  • The crowd chants, THIS IS AWESOME

by DrPum on 2025-03-04Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Such an amazing (though expensive) time at WWE Elimination Chamber. The crowd was so fun with the chants, the big screen was perfect, the lines for merch and food moved quickly, and my 7 yr old son had the night of his life!!! Next time WWE is back we will be there. The appearance by the Rock was an amazing bonus!

  • We had a blast

by Jessica on 2025-03-04Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was my 11 year olds dream to see wwe in person so I made that dream come true for his birthday and it did not disappoint. He said it was the best day EVER. Will definitely attend another event in the future.

  • WWE Elimination chamber

by Rick Ansilio on 2025-03-04Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Show was fantastic been a WWE fan since I was 11 can’t wait till there in town again. Was just disappointed in the service at the Roger’s centre WWE had a store me and my friend got there at 2pm Saturday and they had to restock came back at three were going to open the store at 430 got in big line up unbeatable was advertised threw out the show that the store was opened after the show. We were all directed to the outside doors as we went to the store from outside we were stopped and said to comeback tommorow or go back inside not trying to be a pest I am a retail manager. Myself and I understand it’s not the WWE fault I think the way Roger center were treating there fans/customers was not right at all I had to purchase what I wanted on the web as it was not available at the merchandise stand but the show was great good WWE keep up the great work ticketmaster thank you for being a great provider

  • Amazing but…

by Tango on 2025-03-04Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first wresting event and everything was amazing, I had a good time but during the event they said that the WWE superstore was gonna be open but they never explain that you have to enter from the inside. A lot of people including myself thought that we could enter from the doors outside the stadium, but when we tried to enter the doors were close and we couldn’t enter again. And i missed the opportunity to bought something.

  • Seats searching wasn’t easy!

by Rids on 2025-03-04Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The experience was enjoyable overall, but there were a few issues with the seating arrangement. There were no clear signs or indications to help us find our seats, which led to confusion as we had to search around the ring for almost an hour, in circles. Additionally, the most expensive tickets near the ring were disappointing, as the seats were at the same level with no elevation, obstructing a clear view of the action. I would not recommend purchasing these tickets in the future if you are looking for a clear live view. Additionally, the legroom was limited, making it difficult to move without inconveniencing those seated nearby.

  • WOW!

by MamaHeel on 2025-03-04Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My first WWE live experience and it was amazing! Days later, I still have goosebumps! What an HISTORICAL event, I still can’t believe I witnessed Cena turn Heel in person! 10/10 would go again.

  • Elimination Chamber

by Jared on 2025-03-04Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The whole event was full action and drama. If I was to recommend this event a friend I would. With Kevin Owen assaulting Sami Zayn and John Cena turning on Cody Rhodes and the world. If the opportunity arises again I would go

    by Jeff B on 2025-03-04Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Elimination Chamber was an excellent event. The setup for the stadium was very well done - excellent views throughout the stadium. The event itself was fantastic - with great matches and lots of surprises, including John Cena finally turning heel!
