Amazing and Highly Recommended
by KingYashu on 2017-12-06The Great Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5The show was amazing from start to finish if I might say To start off, pinkcaravan came out and did her thing with the crowd with a mellow and interesting vibe actually (much similar to Noname). Although her energy wasn't up to par (due to this being her first Canadian show), she came out and had fun with the crowd in her own way. As well for Namesake, he managed to get the crowd vibing in an interesting way (even though it was an R&B concert) by playing some GoldLink, Drake, and much more. Iris Temple came out and the acoustics that they had were interesting enough to make it a good set. With one of the duo having a knew injury, he managed to play swiftly with his guitar and did some singing as well. The lead singer and rapper of the duo managed to come out well and played both parts in an amazing way. He managed to keep the crowd going with his energy, swift vocals, and clever charisma. When Xavier Omar came out, he was the best of the best so far. Managed to have successful energy (he started sweating mostly), lots of power with his stage movement, managed to keep his voice in sync with the mic (even though he sings silently sometimes and the mic never catches on). Other than that, he played popular songs from his well-known projects, including his recent one, and managed to bring Chris LaRocca on stage to do a duo performance of the Wild remix. Other than that, he had an acoustic type set with his drummer and the guitarist of Iris Temple to do his set, managed to play some covers of certain artists to get the crowd going (like Chance the Rapper, OT Genasis, Space Jam) and even danced on stage with the drummer. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a soulful-type concert or just a regular R&B show.
