ZHU launched as an anonymous electronic music project for Bay Area producer Steven Zhu, but has risen steadily over a decade to reach global headlining notoriety. ZHU’s musical venture began in 2014 with the release of his debut EP The Nightday, led by the deep house single “Faded,” which charted on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording in 2015. The producer expanded his scope on 2015’s Genesis Series EP, featuring crossover collaborations with AlunaGeorge, Skrillex and Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, before releasing his 2016 debut solo album, Generationwhy, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. ZHU’s 2018 follow-up Ringos Desert boasted collaborations with Tame Impala and Majid Jordan, and he released joint singles with Sofi Tukker, DJ Snake, Tinashe, and Jeremih. ZHU’s third album, Dreamland 2021, marked his sixth Top 20 release on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. In 2023, ZHU unleashed singles like “Revelations” and “Changes,” and his fourth album, Grace, is set to arrive in 2024.

Had a great night, crowd was chill and the show was awesome!
Everything was really goosd, ZHU was amazing, Lightshow was great, check in was easy One little disturbing detail: The only thing is somebody was sick on the dancefloor and they cleaned it up but I don't think they disinfected it
It’s embarrassing that REBEL calls themselves a concert venue, they completely ruined the sound for the opening artist who is also an international headliner, and started projecting advertisements instead of the headliners correct visuals. No self respecting artist should want to play this venue, it’s a glorified vodka bar with a good sound system that apparently nobody knows how to work. Absolutely disappointed I can’t believe I paid money for this.
The music was very experimental and less DJing was involved. Great experience overall.
Caught him on his second show of his tour in London. I was blown away. He did his vocals live and had a life band blend well with his set list. For $45, this was a great night
The show told an amazing story, all the tracks played well into each other. It was interactive, sexy, and engaging from beginning to end.
This show was just amazing. Zhu mixed up so many musical styles seemlessly- reggae, ska, dad-rock... The crowd was constantly surprised by what he managed to cook up next. I felt like he was using the last 25 years of music as his instrument. I've seen lots of DJ shows over the last 25 years in London, NY and Tokyo and this was one of the top performances I've ever seen. This guy is a total genius and will definitely be at his next show.
