BLUE RODEO IN CONCERT:
Canadian roots rock mainstay Blue Rodeo has been sending fans "Head Over Heels" with their country-tinged sound and lighters-in-the-air concerts for more than three decades. The group has won a dozen Juno Awards in their home country, and they've earned a global fanbase with their approachable sound and unforgettable live performances. They've been called one of Canada's best live bands, and it's easy to see why as co-vocalists Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor tag team anthemic favorites like "Lost Together" and "5 Days in May". Fans looking to catch up with with these veteran rockers won't want to miss them any time they perform favorites from their decade-spanning discography on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Blue Rodeo was formed in the early '80s by Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor, two Toronto high school buddies who started playing music together after graduating. Following a stint in New York they returned to Canada and put together a band, and in 1985 Blue Rodeo played their first show at The Rivoli in Toronto. After two years of performing and honing their sound, the group released their 1987 debut album Outskirts to a Top 20 spot on the Canadian charts. A steady string of popular singles and albums followed in the late '80s and '90s, including country chart-toppers like "Try" and "Til I Am Myself Again". Their success continued in the '00s with no less than five Top 10 albums on the Canadian Albums Chart and a star on Canada's Walk of Fame. Over the course of 13 albums Blue Rodeo has won a whopping 12 Juno Awards, and they continue to impress with their time-honored sound and undeniable onstage chemistry every time they tour.
Had a great time and the band was absolutely great!!!
This concert was a huge disappointment to 3 out of the 4 of us. Too much Greg Keelor, not enough Jim Cuddy! It was too long due to the excessive reliance on instrumentals (solos, dueling guitars, etc.). We felt it was overdone and very self-indulgent on Keelor's side.

Another great show! This was our sixth BR concert over the past 20 years, and it was one to remember. The band is as tight and entertaining as ever. We loved the inclusion of a female vocalist on many of the songs. This was the first time we saw Jimmy Bowskill on stage, and his skills on at least half a dozen different stringed instruments blew us away. It was nice to have a young guy up there with the senior citizens! We loved hearing the usual tunes that they always play at live shows, but a couple more of their newer songs would be welcome too. I Can't Hide This Anymore was the only song they played that was less than 25 years old. Granted, the whole point of the show was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Five Days in July, so it's not too surprising that they focused on their early work. Keep up the good work, gentlemen!
30th Anniversary of Five Days in July. Probably their best album. The show was epic. Blue Rodeo brings it. Talented to their souls.
Unfortunately due to inclement weather the first snow of the season I was unable to attend. Nor did I have time to give away my tickets. Truly disappointing.
The guess signer wasn't good she didn't blend with Jim and the other singer. I think she ruined the show a little. The beginning of the show was a bit boring. After intermission was much better. Disappointing that Jim Cuddy didn't sing more. We have hears the same jokes show after show maybe need some new material. I don't think I would see another Blue Rodeo show.
What an amazing concert. Blue Rodeo did not disappoint and the whole Ticketmaster experience was great! Thank you for the pre concert info so that we could be prepared. Blue Rodeo put on a 3 hour concert ( including intermission) It was such a great show and it was clear that they truly enjoy what they do. Such great music!!! Can’t wait to see them again in Port Elgin in May!
Seen Blue Rodeo many times and they just get better. Friday’s performance was so great at our favourite venue👌🏼
Great show, comfortable seats, very nice hotel. Overall a great experience..............
