BLUE RODEO IN CONCERT:
Canadian roots rock mainstay Blue Rodeo has been sending fans "Head Over Heels" with their country-tinged sound and lighters-in-the-air concerts for more than three decades. The group has won a dozen Juno Awards in their home country, and they've earned a global fanbase with their approachable sound and unforgettable live performances. They've been called one of Canada's best live bands, and it's easy to see why as co-vocalists Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor tag team anthemic favorites like "Lost Together" and "5 Days in May". Fans looking to catch up with with these veteran rockers won't want to miss them any time they perform favorites from their decade-spanning discography on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Blue Rodeo was formed in the early '80s by Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor, two Toronto high school buddies who started playing music together after graduating. Following a stint in New York they returned to Canada and put together a band, and in 1985 Blue Rodeo played their first show at The Rivoli in Toronto. After two years of performing and honing their sound, the group released their 1987 debut album Outskirts to a Top 20 spot on the Canadian charts. A steady string of popular singles and albums followed in the late '80s and '90s, including country chart-toppers like "Try" and "Til I Am Myself Again". Their success continued in the '00s with no less than five Top 10 albums on the Canadian Albums Chart and a star on Canada's Walk of Fame. Over the course of 13 albums Blue Rodeo has won a whopping 12 Juno Awards, and they continue to impress with their time-honored sound and undeniable onstage chemistry every time they tour.
Excellent concert. I stopped going to shows because of the forced political speech. No politics finally, it was all about music. If this keeps up I may start attending concerts again...
Had a blast at the Blue Rodeo concert at Caesars Windsor. Great venue. Great seats. The band played for almost 3 hours and got the crowd on its feet with some of their greatest hits of all time. We will we back to see Blue Rodeo again!
Loved this band 30 years ago. They still got it. I only wished they spoke more to the crowd about the songs they played. I love a little back story to a song -- tell me something I don't know. It was a good night.
This was our 3 rd time seeing Blue Rodeo, they do not disappoint It was a fantastic show 5 stars
Blue Rodeo was awesome. Great show and entertainment. Mezzanine at Caesar’s Windsor was not good. Too many people walking in front of you during the entire show!
Could not complain about the show. It was fantastic! Found ppl getting up to get drinks throughout annoying and also ppl talking loudly throughout… 😏 It seems there are a lot of rude ppl out there who don’t care about others. 😟
Great Venue, Amazing Band . Only issue is the seats in the balcony are not very comfortable and not enough leg room. But Blue Rodeo never disappoints .
Well it wasn't snowing but it was a cold December night and Blue Rodeo was tight and right. I've been attending concerts at Massey Hall for more than 50 years and I have to say that, if it wasn't the best concert ever, it was certainly near the top! Incredibly uplifting and in the best venue for music that I've ever experienced.
First time in MH since the reno, Spectular venue with excellent sound. Show was everything you could expect from such a seasoned group. Hearing "Five Days in July"in order brought back so many memoires. They sounded great and played great. A little sticker shock at the $18 draft beer and some of the merch pricing though.
Blue Rodeo At Massey Hall...does it get any better? Thirty year anniversary of Five Days in July. They performed the entire album. Then they came back after intermission and continued to play great song after great song. The music, the performance, the sound, the musicianship, Greg telling funny stories, the lighting, the venue, the band...one hell of a great concert!
Massey Hall is the best venue for a concert I go 4-5 times a year I saw Blue Rodeo there twice in the last year. Super show !!! Great band !!!!!!!
We've seen them many times and this may have been their best show. Great set all around, mixing classics with songs we don't often hear. Seats were somewhat obstructed with railings in front of us and lacking legroom, but otherwise an amazing evening. Well done to the entire band!
Fabulous concert with great music …so much fun! Massey Hall staff are efficient and friendly.
I wanted to see Blue Rodeo for several years and it was so worth the wait. I see why they have such an incredible following, I cant wait to see them again. And Massey hall, what a venue to experience them in.
This was not my first (Blue) Rodeo but it felt like the best. But then, that’s what I always feel after every concert by the band. Great show in the best live theatre space in Canada.
We've seen them many times and they never disappoint! I remember these guys from my Queen St. West days! Also, the staff at Massey was great at accomodating us as my wife is disabled. Thanks!

Blue Rodeo never disappoints. They played their best album in its entirety then a lot of hits. Lots of crowd participation and smiling faces in the audience. A really great night.
A wonderful concert (as usual) put on by Blue Rodeo. Well worth seeing! My only complaint is the venue. Massey Hall which has just undergone extensive renovations, and looks quite impressive, but has extremely limited legroom on the third level. If you’re over six feet, stay away from those seats. Not sure why they invested so much time, money and effort into this theatre but didn’t take their patron’s comfort into account.
We had a great time at this concert. Blue Rodeo does a fantastic show, it's seamless going from one song to the next, and they sound just like their albums. Also Massey Hall is a wonderful venue!
