BC Lions History
The BC Lions are the fifth oldest active franchise in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Founded in 1954, the Lions have made 10 appearances in the Grey Cup championship game and have won the cup six times: in 1964, 1985, 1994, 2000, 2006 and 2011. The BC Lions have claimed the Grey Cup twice on their home turf, including their notable 1994 victory over the former Baltimore Football Club, which prevented a U.S.-based team from hoisting Canadian football’s top prize. The Lions logged the CFL’s second-longest streak of playoff appearances, running for 20 consecutive seasons between 1997 and 2016. Throughout the BC Lions’ history, roster members have claimed 14 Most Outstanding Rookie Awards, 11 Most Outstanding Canadian Awards and Most Outstanding Defensive Player Awards apiece, seven Most Outstanding Player Awards, and five Annis Stukus Trophies for the CFL’s Coach of the Year.

BC Lions at BC Place
The BC Lions are the longest-tenured team to continuously compete at BC Place, starting with its opening in 1983. The stadium has grown in stature across the league, hosting nine Grey Cup championship games, including a Lions victory in 2011. During home games, fans can expect to hear the BC Lions fight song “Roar, You Lions, Roar” and get hyped up with team mascot Leo the Lion. The 54,500-seat multipurpose stadium has also hosted Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps FC as well as games during the 2010 Winter Olympics and the annual Canada Sevens rugby competition. BC Place is located on the north side of False Creek in downtown Vancouver.

Was the best game I’ve been to. Loved how that no matter how hard that ref called bad calls they came back harder. No dull moment.
My experience at BC Place was not the greatest. When hosts advertise ALCOHOL FREE sections, then they, the hosts, should enforce those rules. There were 7 rules posted on the jumbotron before the game and our neighbors (who were drinking and vaping throughout the event) broke all 7 rules, even the "no fighting"one. When my partner told them not to vape (cannabis) they became belligerent and wanted to fight him, notified staff security and nothing was done. This is the third time I've been to an event at BC Place and the experience has been the same for all 3 occasions. So no thanks.
The seats were nice but the people around weren’t. Vaping and smoking weed in the seats and excessive swearing and drinking were seen. The attendant did come and speak to them. Which was nice to see.
Attended my first Lions game in a long time. It was a very good experience. Tickets were reasonable and our seats were excellent. Good options for food and drinks. Plenty of washrooms. Lots of long time time fans attending. Impressive to see so many families….good to see preferred pricing for those under 17. Lots of entertainment during the breaks. Fun atmosphere in the stands with a great fan base. I’ll definitely go to another game next season!
Great experience! Fans were very vocal and the BC Lions were unstoppable and very entertaining. Great seats and atmosphere.
Great game and good food always love the hotdogs. The Wife and I attend a few games each year and always gave a great time love the atmosphere
Going to BC Place to attend a BC Lions game is a lot of fun. The stadium is beautiful, the team plays very well and everything is well organized. The only downside is that the game is much much longer than a regular football match because there are dozens of commercial breaks. It is very annoying even for a football fan and Lions supporter like myself.
Party in the plaza before the game was really good, game was awesome. One thing that the lions do which is great is $15 kid tickets. So easy. Tons of families at the games. Father/sons, father/daughters
We absolutely loved attending this game. Amazing energy, great food, short lines even with 30,000 people. This was our first game in 5 years and we are now considering seasons tickets!
The game itself was great, the seats had great view, however nowhere did I read that there was a metal barrier that took up a large chunk of the leg room, I’m 5’9 and it was very uncomfortable, avoid row E section 210 and the sections around it, there should be a disclaimer stating there is limited leg room.
BC Place is a state of the art venue. Amar Doman has been addressing the issues that have needed fixing. The overall fan experience has been improving considerably since he's taken over ownership. I've always said that regardless of whether the Lions win or lose, attending a game has to be an enjoyable experience.
Great atmosphere. Great ticket prices. Food was a good price. Family friendly
We had so much fun ! So much cheering for them and dancing . Had no voice later on . They did amazing. Wish I could go to the next game but so much good luck next weekend
Great game, a great crowd, love the fact entry by phone is less hassle. Ticket purchase is seamless. Seats on the 53-yard line with a winning team, what is there to complain about?
Pregame party was well attended and the Famous Players band kept us entertained. The Lions showed up and took care of business and overall very enjoyable afternoon. Food choices are good and beer lineups aren’t too bad
I will only buy tickets from ticket Master. Not a problem to be had, wonderful experience on my birthday.
what a great night without any problems , great experience and will always go through ticket master
Paid good money for good seats, but the BC Lions essentially didn't turn up. Several people I talked to who love CFL said it was one of the worst, if not the worst, most pitiful game they ever saw. I will NEVER pay money to see any professional sports again, total gamble and way overpriced, never mind the traffic and grossly overpriced parking.
It’s just wrong you can not print your tickets any more
GREAT ATMOSPHERE. AMAZING ENERGY FOR BC LIONS AT CANADA PLACE. LOTS OF FUN.
