BC Lions History
The BC Lions open their 71st season in the Canadian Football League (CFL) on Saturday, June 7 at home to the Edmonton Elks. Founded in 1954, the Lions have made ten appearances in the Grey Cup, Canada’s football championship, and have won the cup six times: in 1964, 1985, 1994, 2000, 2006 and 2011. The Lions have claimed the Grey Cup twice on their home turf, including their notable 1994 victory over the former Baltimore Football Club, which prevented a U.S.-based team from hoisting Canadian football’s top prize. Following world class renovations to the stadium, the Lions won another Grey Cup at home in 2011. The Lions logged the CFL’s second-longest streak of playoff appearances, running for 20 consecutive seasons between 1997 and 2016. Throughout the BC Lions’ history, individual players have claimed 14 Most Outstanding Rookie Awards, 11 Most Outstanding Canadian Awards and Most Outstanding Defensive Player Awards apiece, seven Most Outstanding Player Awards, and five Annis Stukus Trophies for the CFL’s Coach of the Year.

I love the BC Lions...yes they loss some games and then they win some games but it's all in good fun...I was at BC place to see the game and have fun..
The game was great but the sound system was way too loud. I like loud, never have said a game/concert was too loud. My ears are still ringing
Lions' games are well-organized and presented. I complement the staff and security for doing a stellar job to make the stadium an enjoyable place to be, making sure that people are in the correct seats and that bad behaviour is dealt with immediately--and, mostly importantly, very professionally. I guess I could wish that the sound system was less reverbatory and a bit quieter, but generally I really enjoyed the experience. Of course, if the Lions had won...(some weak coaching preparation on defense and offense clearly obvious). However. The Riders did not exhibit any of these weaknesses so good on them.
Was a fun day pre game and and game was awesome with a Rider win....yahoo.
Easy access using Google wallet for tickets. Easy to add tickets to wallet. My favorite team won! Making experience even better.
Gate entry and security very efficient. Crowd size disappointing. Pregame and halftime entertainment very average compared to most Lions game I have attended. Game experience good. Not the most thrilling game but you can never predict that.
My wife & I had a great evening at the Snoop 🐕 concert. Fellow football game / concert attendees were calm, patient, and well behaved. Increased staffing levels recommended for future events of this nature to ensure people were seated faster and reduce wait times. Good overall experience though. DD
It was such a great night with family we had so much fun hopefully next time my grandson can get on the fan cam he tried all night. Will totally do this again
Seemed like too few ticket-checking stations on the way into the game. BC Lions were expecting a large crowd; surprised there weren't more entry stations prepared for it. We were concerned that we wouldn't get into the stadium in time for the Snoop show. Seems like the start was delayed - was that because of the lines to get into the stadium? Great concert. Snoop was legendary. Who are you going to get next year to top this? Kendrick? Game was all right. Need to figure something out with TV time-outs; they take the crowd right out of the game. Seems like the game is tuned to a TV audience and not an in-person audience. Would like to see a broader selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Water, Pepsi, and that awful electric-blue lemonade seemed to be all that was available. This shouldn't be hard to address.
No proper lineup showing you where the entrance is. There was just a big crowd not knowing where to go.
Sorry make that - Do better BC Place! But then maybe Rogers should own BC Place, they might do a better job!
I felt like the concessions weren’t prepared for opening night of the Lions. Slow and disorganized.
Great concert by snoop, really hope for more events like this, maybe the concert can be at halftime so more fans will stay for the game
Good game and even better when I see snoop dogg.!!!!!
Snoop Dogg put on a great concert and the lions sent everyone home happy with a 31 to 14 victory over the Edmonton elks Nathan Rouke found his passing game in the second half and shredded the elks defense 👏
Was good experience listening to Snoop Dogg perform but didn't appreciate the 3 girls in front of us standing spoiling our view, I'd love people to sit in there seats so people from behind can view the performer playing because I come from 7 to 8 hour's drive just to see Snoop Dogg perform.
Snoop concert stage was tucked back this year. Could not see the stage. No speakers facing behind the stage. You couldn't even hear what song it was. Terrible.
Snoop was amazing! Everything I could have hoped for. However the lines to get into the venue and the line for food and beverage was not acceptable. It took almost 40min to get into the stadium and an hour to get food and beverage.
The concert and the football game were great. BC Place was not ready. Even though they knew 50,000 people were coming, they didn't have enough people on the door. It took an hour to an hour and a half to get in. Also, they ran out of hot dogs before half time. That tells me there is not adequate preparation.
