About

Roger Waters found international fame as a founding member of legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Selling over 250 million albums worldwide and being inducted into both the British and American Rock & Roll Halls Of Fame, Pink Floyd is one of the most influential bands of the 20th century. Roger Walters has also had tremendous success as a solo artist, releasing three studio albums and touring extensively all across the globe.
Roger was the creative force behind the prime years of Pink Floyd's impressive run. From the classic album The Dark Side Of The Moon in 1968 until Final Cut in 1983, Walters was responsible for the lyrics, arrangement and concept behind every album they released. By the time he left the band in 1985 they had been firmly established as one of the most critically acclaimed and best selling bands in popular music history. Albums such as The Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall are some of the best selling albums of all time and still sell literally thousands of copies every year to this day.
After leaving Pink Floyd he moved into solo projects with albums such as Radio K.A.O.S and Amused To Death, once again concept albums in his unique style. In 1990 just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he staged his most elaborate concert ever with a giant outdoor performance in Berlin where the Wall once stood. Featuring guest performances from the likes of Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell and Cyndi Lauper, the concert registered an official attendance of over 200,000 people. The official live album, titled The Wall - Live, was released shortly afterwards and quickly went Platinum. This period of his career also saw Roger collaborate with artists such as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck on various projects.
After taking a seven year break from both public eyes and the music industry, Roger returned with a bang in 1999 with a tour that started small and quickly grew. With more modest venues quickly selling out, more dates and larger venues were quickly added as the return tour expanded worldwide. For over three years Roger toured the world, culminating with a performance in front of over 70,000 at Glastonbury Festival in 2002. In 2005 Pink Floyd played together for one last time at charity event Live 8. Roger has continued his solo tours on and off since then, often performing special arrangements of Pink Floyd material mixed with his solo work.

    Waters keeps on flowing

by Wordgarden on 2022-07-12Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

At the age of 78 he's still got it! Trotted out all the PF classics aided by a more than capable backing band and 2 singers. Exceptional set design as he performed in the round with a giant screen that hovered overhead and had animation, video and political statements peojected on it. A solid show from a reliable performer who still has much to offer.

Good to see Pink Floyd once….that’s about it.

    by R. B. on 2022-07-12

This is coming from a huge Pink Floyd fan…this isn’t really Pink Floyd. It’s Roger Waters playing some Pink Floyd classics, and then a lot of his solo stuff that I’m personally not the biggest fan of. But that isn’t what bothered me about this performance. I get that Pink Floyd has always had societal commentary in their music, but the WHOLE performance there was some political message on several massive screens overtaking the musical performance. It kinda took away from the experience for me, and personally it ruined it for me. I wouldn’t recommend this performance unless you really love Pink Floyd and are willing to sit through hours of political messaging.

    Awesome

by Khairun on 2022-07-12Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Thank you for the awesome show, the screen in middle blocked some vision on the two side screens and Roger didn't come down main stage in middle much. Hopefully, show was recorded for future Netflix as I missed some screen stories.

    A bit political

by Tetris on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Sounded great. Just wish I heard more of his cuts with pink Floyd. Also too strong in the political messaging. Paid to come see roger play and sing. Not have a political debate.

    Epic Concert!

by ST on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The concert was a great experience. What I did not like is that I could not buy a beer or food because they would not take CASH (bad idea). I did not take my credit card with me.

    Turn back time

by JG on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The sound was powerful and complete. The various musicians put it down. The lights and video were fulfilling. Roger is aged but not done. Roger rocks. My son rocks. Everybody rocks!

Waters good ACC not so much.

by TheBoyWhoBlockedHisOwnShot on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Roger Waters and band worked hard and delivered a professionally curated performance. That being said though the atmosphere of the ACC made it more like work than something more organic and meaningful. The spirit wasn't there, the sound was bad enough to pretty much ruin the show. Also it seems like the ACC did not have enough staff to direct people into the stadium. This resulted In unnecessary long line ups delaying the show. This was my first time seeing a concert at the ACC, it's possible that the sound was bad because I was in the 300 level next time I will get floor tickets and see if that is better. I saw foo fighters at Sky Dome with floor tickets and they were amazing, sound spirit, everything! Pretty disappointed with this experience glad tickets were only 80$
