About

Roger Waters found international fame as a founding member of legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Selling over 250 million albums worldwide and being inducted into both the British and American Rock & Roll Halls Of Fame, Pink Floyd is one of the most influential bands of the 20th century. Roger Walters has also had tremendous success as a solo artist, releasing three studio albums and touring extensively all across the globe.
Roger was the creative force behind the prime years of Pink Floyd's impressive run. From the classic album The Dark Side Of The Moon in 1968 until Final Cut in 1983, Walters was responsible for the lyrics, arrangement and concept behind every album they released. By the time he left the band in 1985 they had been firmly established as one of the most critically acclaimed and best selling bands in popular music history. Albums such as The Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall are some of the best selling albums of all time and still sell literally thousands of copies every year to this day.
After leaving Pink Floyd he moved into solo projects with albums such as Radio K.A.O.S and Amused To Death, once again concept albums in his unique style. In 1990 just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he staged his most elaborate concert ever with a giant outdoor performance in Berlin where the Wall once stood. Featuring guest performances from the likes of Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell and Cyndi Lauper, the concert registered an official attendance of over 200,000 people. The official live album, titled The Wall - Live, was released shortly afterwards and quickly went Platinum. This period of his career also saw Roger collaborate with artists such as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck on various projects.
After taking a seven year break from both public eyes and the music industry, Roger returned with a bang in 1999 with a tour that started small and quickly grew. With more modest venues quickly selling out, more dates and larger venues were quickly added as the return tour expanded worldwide. For over three years Roger toured the world, culminating with a performance in front of over 70,000 at Glastonbury Festival in 2002. In 2005 Pink Floyd played together for one last time at charity event Live 8. Roger has continued his solo tours on and off since then, often performing special arrangements of Pink Floyd material mixed with his solo work.

Roger always gets better and better

by Flip on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

It truly was an experience, Roger was at his creative best and above all he was having FUN. Roger laughed, joked and enjoyed a few of his favourite beverages. The show, the setlist and the musicians were all perfect. If this is Rogers swan song then he went out with a bang! I’d go see this show again, tomorrow. Go to the show! Say hi to Roger and SHINE ON!

    Roger Waters ROCKS!

by Rockin' Ron on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Great show! Was super glad the band waited 45 minutes past the start time @ 8pm. That allowed most people to get to their seats. Roger Waters & Pink Floyd ROCK!

    Good show

by Andy on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

We enjoyed the show - Started late due to the Rogers Internet outage. We were in the nosebleed section of Scotiabank Arena, and it was extemely obvious to everyone in our section (not just row), that the floors were extremely sticky due to a) the place not being cleaned or b) some type of industrial strength glue that had been misapplied to the flooring> most of us couldn't walk very well due to the stickiness and many of us complained to the usher.

    Amazing set

    by E. R. on 2022-07-11

The visuals for this show were unbelievable, although I sat a couple rows back from the stage (which was very tall) so I couldn't see as much as usual and I couldn't even stand up to see better because it was a seated floor but all in all the sound, visuals and Rogers showmanship we're all incredible! A good mix of solo waters work and pink Floyd songs although he didn't play time which was rather disappointing. I figured maybe he would save it for the encore but it just... never happened. The politics were a major forefront in this show as he even says to f off to the bar if you're not a fan of his politics (which I guess some people in these reviews didn't take that hint). If you're a pink Floyd or waters fan I highly recommend this show. And if you're in edge to buy tickets, BUY THEM NOW! This may very well be his last tour so if you want that last chance to experience this music live, you won't want to miss out!

Roger Waters this is not a drill

by David Claudio on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

This was my 3rd time seeing Roger Waters and this was brand new, and very unique. The show was fantastic! My only complaint was with the venue, they absolutely would not take cash at scotiabank place. Debit was down that day and if you didnt have credit, you were screwed. No complaints with Roger!

    The show

by Timmy on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I don’t mind Rogers politics, but I watched the news before I came to the show and he repeated that in all the imagery! I wanted to be taken away from all that for 3 hours. He cheaped out on the sound by using the arena’s P.A. System. As for Scotiabank Arena, I bet the floors in the seating area haven’t been cleaned in months! My shoes were stuck to the floor when I walked!

    Fantastic

by Cerylia on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I never really paid attention to Pink Floyd music before. I knew the songs growing up but nothing more. The whole Roger Waters experience was mind blowing. The passion of the political statements reinforced by the graphics and symbolism hit straight to the heart. The concert hit so many emotions that there was something that everyone could be passionate about. Roger Waters voice was melodious and almost dreamy at times. The energy and showmanship he displays is epic. A true rock experience for me.

Good moments, not as good as his previous tour

by This is Not a Drill July 8 2022, Scotia Arena attendee on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

There were some good moments but also some disappointments. Played a lot of his newer songs, which is fine, but missed out on some of the absolute classics and the show ended on a bit of a low note. Even more political than his last tour, which I found a bit much, even as someone who generally agrees with most of his politics. Sound quality was also not the greatest, could sometimes be difficult. to hear the solos and vocals over the rest of the band. I was also not a huge fan of the in the round format. It could sometimes be difficult to see Roger when he was at the opposite end of the stage as the view would be a bit blocked by the hanging screens. All in all I am glad I went as it was enjoyable and he played many good tunes but definitely not as good as his last pre-Covid tour (Us + Them).

The show was great as always.

by Fletch on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Roger being a 78 year old performer always gives the crowd his all no holding back. The light and screen shows were what I would expect form him, again great. Getting into the venue was a mess opening the door too late for everyone to get seated before the show started was bad planning which caused the show to start late. All in all I had a great evening. This was one of the best nights of my life

by Sogoli on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

After being stuck in traffic for 1 hour within 10 walking mins from the arena I had to convince the bus driver to let us out of the bus that took 30 mins and then I sprinted running on the highway to make it to this concert and it was so it worth

So we thought we might like to go the show

by Kathi on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

To feel the warm thrill of confusion that space cadet glow - well we were very glad we did. As always Roger was amazing. We were first row in the 300's surrounding a full centre stage. The sound was amazing. My only sadness was the huge speaker blocking the entire centre view. Nonetheless i loved it. Played many classics and many new ones and made me happy to sit there and take in the instrumentals. I don't know how many times we have seen him but in my opinion it will never be enough.

    Super Disappointed!!!

by Not Happy Camper! on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Major delay for everyone to start to be let in for the Friday concert! Started late! WAY TO PREACHY for my taste! Waters has gone off the deep end with his anti-everything message! 🔺 The very disappointing stage setup only allowed us to see Roger 75% of the time! Greedy! Greedy! Greedy! The crowd was COMATOSE throughout!

    Political madness

by Boomee on 2022-07-11Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I love Roger Waters , This last tour was good but I would have liked to hear more music and less lectures about the world we live in. We know it’s shitty , hence why we go to concerts, it helps us leave the madness of the world for a while , so didn’t like so much politics shoved in there
