disney on ice is a classic

    by bookbuyer2 on 2012-12-30Rogers Centre - Toronto

I found that two of the programs where very long & dragged out. The kids tended to get very restless. Last year's program was much better. We will think twice about going again next year. It was a good program for someone who has never seen Disney on Ice before.

    Great for kids

by Jojov on 2012-12-30Rogers Centre - Toronto

My 5 & 6 year old girls loved the show, I was concerned at first as last year I took them to a show and it was about three princesses. This year there was a much smaller focus on princesses. This was my husbands first Disney on Ice show and he was impressed as well.

    A bit of a Letdown

by soccergrandmom on 2012-12-30Rogers Centre - Toronto

I took my grandson (aged 3) who is in love with the CARS movies to see Disney on Ice. The CARS were wonderful and kept his attention. He was on the edge of his seat through the whole segment and was upset when they left the ice. While Tinkerbell and her new Pixie friends were on, he was more interested in how the fairy was flying (we were seated near the controls and he could see how the men manipulated them) than the story going on in front of him - which at his age he just could not follow and lets face it, most kids there are under the age of 4 and really could not grasp the storyline. He has not watched any of the Pixie/Tinker Bell movies as he has no interest in them. These were new characters for him and he wasn't interested! Although the music of Under the Sea kept his attention, he became a bit bored. He, again, was more interested in how the "bubbles" were produced above his head than the show. He was equally bored with the Toy Story theme. Although he watches Toy Story constantly at home, Barbie and Ken are not his favourites - Buzz and Woody, the stars of the movies are, yet Buzz and Woody were co-stars instead of the stars. As I looked around, I found that my grandson was not the only bored little guy there. There were others. I think the producers of the show erred in putting the CARS characters on first. They should have been put on last. Lets face it. Cars is the newest movie and all kids, male and female, love it. They should have shown them last and that would have kept most of the kids attention and they would have left on a high.

    A Mesmerizing show

by Dreamland on 2012-12-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

We have been coming to watch for the past couple of years and this has been an amazing show. The costumes and props were outstanding. We did not want each chapter to end. It was so realistic and colourful. All the actors were always smiling and really taking on their role. A job well done by all. My girls absolutely loved this show, it was like being in Walt Disney for a couple of hours. A dream come true for my girls. Thank you!!

A Good Show for the young kids

by Jurusula on 2012-12-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

We brought a 3 year old, an 8 year old and a 12 year old. They all loved the show but it was really targeting the 4-6 year olds... Our 3 year old kept asking where Mickey went and when would he come back. She was wondering where Daisy Duck was... until she decided that Daisy Duck must be sick. There is an intermission after an hour, a 15 minute break and then the show continues for another 45 minutes. It was a little long for the kids. The 5 drinks, 2 boxes of popcorn & single bag of cotton candy came to $40. Parking was $25 underground - which was awesome b/c we could leave our coats behind and enter directly without all the extra stuff to carry. The show was fun - kind of a synopsis of favorite Disney movies, with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy & Donald between the different shows. It could have been 1/2 an hour shorter but was still really good.

    horrible skaters

    by LG123456 on 2012-12-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

I've been to every Disney on Ice for 20 years and this was the worst performance ever. At least four skaters fell during the performance. I've never seen skaters perform that badly before.

Cars were amazingly very well done

by TonyChe on 2012-12-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

Excellent show, lots of characters to see, very well organize. Down size parking is to expensive as well as popcorn and slushy. If you have one kid is expensive day taking them there so with two kids be prepared to be even more broke. This organizers should be a bit more caring for the kids and not the cash generating. Kids love it so more parents would take them if it was a bit more affordable for the things to buy in there

The show was great. The second half consisting of only Toy Story was bit much. They should have done another theme, and we all know Disney has plenty of them.

Disney on ice world of fantasies was okay

by LilG on 2012-12-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

Last year was much better! This year they took 4 story lines and they went on too long for little children. For example Toy Story 3 went on for 45 minutes straight.......kids got bored! People around us were all leaving! It was also extremely loud! My 4 year old was crying saying it was hurting his ears! Overall, I would not recommend this!

    Wont go back

by LittleRaeaSunshine on 2012-12-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

Grandparents take our kids each year. They said its gotten worse over the last couple of years. Our kids are 6 and 4 and told us themselves they were bored for the second half. They used to be glued to it the entire time. It appears its the same thing each year now. Time for some new characters and some new moves! We wont be buying for next year.

    Reliving out childhood!

    by 1sf1 on 2012-12-29Rogers Centre - Toronto

There's nothing like Disney to bring together generations and help you remember your childhood. I took four 'big kids' to see this show - ages 18-21. They loved it! It reminded them of happy, younger, Disney moments. Despite the $7.00 popcorn and $4 bottled waters, a good time was had by all!

The first half was pretty good but the second half just seemed to drag on. My 3 year old loved it but my 2 year old was bored and wanted to go to sleep.

    Great show but....

by djeetee on 2012-12-28Rogers Centre - Toronto

paying almost $100 to see the show and end up sitting on a folding chair for 3 hours is not good. The enjoyment is lost with a sore bum!
