    Guitar Duo

by Bellisimo on 2015-04-30The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Although very talented and I always liked Lyle's music this was not my favourite music. I actually didn't recognize any of the songs and the country ballads were getting boring to the point I almost left. Just not my style of a concert.

    Good musical chemistry

by Slagothor on 2015-04-28The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Two guys, and 4 guitars, that's all, and these guys delivered! A very enjoyable 2 hours and 10 minutes of music, including some very humourous banter. I would have liked to see John and Lyle perform more songs together, as much of the night was spent taking turns playing songs individually. Considering that this is their 3rd tour together, more duets would have been nice. They only played 3-4 songs together, but it was still a fine evening of musicianship. These guys really seem to like each other.

    Cool and laid-back night!

by ShanetheCanuck on 2015-04-27The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Been a Hiatt fan for close to 30 years. Been a Lovett fan for around 10 years. Very high expectations for this show, and was not disappointed. Great stories and memories from both gents. Lyle REALLY showed many facets of his personality. Very witty and entertaining stories and quips. His musicianship was BRILLAINT! John was himself, laidback with top-notch rock, roots, blues, country influences. The chemistry and mutual-admiration between these two legends was obvious. If you dig either or both of these artists, you will kick yourself if have do not catch this gig!

    Lyle Lovett & Joh Hiatt

by Emslie on 2015-04-27The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

My husband and I were totally disappointed in this show, If we could have gotten by the persons next to us we would have left right after the opening song. It was the worst show we have seen at the Colosseum Windsor. Our seats were excellent but the show was very bad, Lyle Lovett can not sing anymore and either can John Hiatt their voices cracked and the jokes were of the moran nature not funny at all. We thought there would have been a back up band to hide the stupid lerics of the "poems" they sang. Disappointed to say the least.

Lovett and Hiatt - talent overflowed the stage

by SplitT on 2014-02-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The acoustic performance was exceptional. These guys can play guitar. Their voices were in top form. I have enjoyed a live performance by Lyle Lovett before and was very impressed with how polished his concert was. He continues to do an amazing job for his audience. I also enjoyed the banter between songs, Lyle Lovett is a bit 'off the wall', very funny. John Hiatt has an incredible song book and generously accepted song requests from the audience. These are master musicians.

It was a fantastic, relaxing evening. The sound was great. Both of their voices were just perfect and the songs played were all of my favourites.

    Lovett and Hiatt were topnotch!

by Stolat on 2014-02-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

This concert was mindblowing. Though in a large theatre, it felt like an intimate setting with the artists sitting on a small area of the stage with minimum gear and instruments. The performance was seamless as the artists sang song after song and the performers continued without pause for about 2 and a half hours. It was like a polished jam session. The banter between Lovett and Hiatt was casual and amusing, indicating that they were very comfortable with each other.

    Truly Entertaining

by KimW on 2014-02-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

It was like spying on a conversation and jamming session between two good friends. The acoustic guitars and the voices were amazing. It was foot tapping music for over 2 hours. This was our 5th time to see Lyle Lovett and it won't be the last. John Hiatt is a truly amazing artist and we hope to attend more of his concerts with John as the headliner.

John Hiatt and Lyle Lovitt provided an evening of songs and stories in a relaxed in your living room style. It was clear they are friends and enjoyed playing together with no band mates. It was clear from the start they were happy to be here playing their songs. A wonderful relaxed evening listen ending to two friends share songs and stories.
