The dancing, costumes, and music were all wonderful. We brought our husbands and even they couldn’t look away— everyone really enjoyed the show. We will definitely be back next year, should they come to Edmonton again.
Amazing dancers - nice mixture of stories and folk dances. Cool technical effects. Top notch orchestra. Definitely worth the money!
Had the idea this was more of a performance. It is a deep dive into traditional Chinese (folk?) dancing and music. Awesome in its own right. Not sure why I thought it would be more showy. Performance was tight, well rehearsed music was quite spectacular. Absolutely loved the cautionary anti-communist messages from people that know the reality behind of authoritarian socialism….something many NA neo-Lieberals could use a dose of.
Three of us enjoyed it very much. It is hard to put into words one's appreciation for the dancers and their astounding feats and gymnastics; for the beautiful scenery in the backgrounds and for the skillful incorporation of new technology. Felt disappointed for another customer whose family member was disabled and they could not sit together. Also the seats are uncomfortable for those with long legs and for older folks.
Impressive 5000 year history told in a contemporary context. Beautiful interactive backdrops and simple story lines to watch dynamic performances set to live music orchestra. Did not disappoint. Tickets were too steep though to see another show and the sight line from the first balcony was not great.
The Shen Yun music and performance were amazing. We traveled 5 hours with a friend to see it. Next time it comes to Edmonton we're planning to take our grandchildren. What a great night!
Artistically it was a audio visionary treat. I give the choreography and performance a 5 out of 5. If it were not for the political and religious overtones, it would be perfect entertainment for all audience. As such, I have to downgrade the show as Shen Yun’s appeal is not for everyone.
I found the show a bit preachy. The dancing was great but more of interpreted dancing. Didn't mind that. Would I go back to see another show hmmmm
Nice display of art. Unfortunately with a political touch that was a bit disappointing. Please keep art separate from your political agenda.
I found the narrators were hard hear when they were speaking in English.
The whole show could've been done in half an hour. There were many repititions and the storytelling was a little bit vague.
If I’d known that several of the performances were anti atheism, and extremely pro creation I likely would not have gone. Not to mention the disapprove of any non heterosexual relationships. *Coming from someone who broke free of a fundamentalist christian cult*
The show was great and wonderful, however the theater needs to have a better sound system in the middle and on top. Also, from where I was sitting, it was not possible to see all the details on the screen, due to the position of the seats and the walls of the stage. Thank you.
Absolutely amazing. The colours jumped off the stage. The 3D effect was mesmerizing. The dancers were in perfect unison. Loved it loved it
This was a well done choreography and animation combined program well worth the price and well described by the presenters for each dance sequence. These dancer have put a life of preforming to get to this level. A must see in your area. Tickets are ver affordable.

It was an awesome show the dancing the colourful costumes and I really liked that there was an explanation before each number.
Very repetitive. No wow factor at all. The skits were hokey. The MCs were not entertaining at all. Worst performance I have seen at Jubille.

This performance was amazing! The costumes, effects, dancers and the music…the music…absolutely beautiful. Was well worth the ticket prices. My grandkids really enjoyed it.
