    Good to be back

It was great to see live music again, no real problem getting in even with the covid “passports”. The band was amazing for where they are in their career!

    Genesis - The Last Domino

    by T. S. on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The whole night was about visuals, the way they were in "days of future passed". It was packed but 4th row makes you only see the band, feel the music, as in "get into it" in your soul, very interactive and intimate. Phil Collins is hurting but he's still got pipes!! His son's drumming, wow! He filled his dad's shoes. Talented band been together some for over 50 years and they don't look ready to stop! I feel like a 20 year old again because believe it or not, my ears feel pretty good today, lol. Cheers. Support the music!

    Great!!!!

by Brevei on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Loved the show. Phil’s voice isn’t what it once was but the 2 back up singers were awesome as well. I was very happy to hear Gabriel era songs. Glad I went and think this was the last time I will see them.

    Incredible!

by Adri on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

So happy to have been able to catch Genesis on their way through Toronto! The performance was incredible, the sound in Scotiabank was perfect, the light show and screen animations added so much to the show. This is how stadium shows are meant to be done!

    A tale of being tricked

    by R. G. on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I will give Genesis big points for showing up with the original band and some notable helpers, but at least they showed up (the then there were three version) The stage and sets were very good the venue very good One major disappointment was with the song selection process. Did they purposely avoid any song references to Peter Gabriel? Why? Not to have even one song from Trick of the Tail was such a disappointment. Arguably, Trick of the Tale is a poster boy recording to support the use of vinyl or live. Digitization drained the life from this recording. At least there was enough of Lamb to negate the effects of some of their fluffier dance tunes.

    Great concert

by Pat on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Somewhat hesitant attending a concert during the pandemic, but Scotiabank arena was well prepared. Entry into the event was a breeze. Only comment would be about the size of bag allowed - my everyday purse is 10 x 9 but managed to squeeze essentials (keys, wallet, phone) into a smaller bag only to see people with large purses, tote bags and even a few backpacks….. The concert was even better than expected. Being a long time Genesis fan, grateful I was able to attend.

    Great concert terrible venue

by Sword on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The concert was great, light and sound were impressive but the venue is managed poorly. We had a constant stream of people going up/down the stairs from the floor when their access was 10 feet away on the back of the floor and none of the staff did anything, I saw at least two people trip one fell down 2 steps in the dark with no support from staff. Last is what is with people constantly standing up for the whole concert, we had multiple people standing when no one was even blocking their view and again after asking staff they did nothing.

    Great concert!

by Betty on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

We are lovers of Phil Collins so it was amazing to see him again with Genesis. The only thing I would say is that people were smoking pot which made the experience very unpleasant. There was no one to stop them. Otherwise, the music was excellent!

    Obstructed seating in ScotiaBank Arena

by Phil on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Genesis was great. The seats were not. There are glass partitions obstructing numerous seats in the ScotiaBank Arena, but if you have a problem speak with your usher and customer service. While they couldn't move us immediately, soon after the show started our usher relocated us to seats with less of an obstruction. Customer service wasn't terribly helpful, as they offered us seats 3 levels above the tickets we bought. At $250 a pop, we expect to see the stage clearly, at least.
