    Great Band, Poor Venue

by Matisse on 2024-04-04The Opera House - Toronto

Wish the Trans Canada Highwaymen could have been relocated to a larger venue when they sold-out at The Opera House. The pushing in the crowd (I got knocked off my feet) was uncomfortable. Not the band's fault--they were great!--but I would avoid attending another concert at this venue

    Standing room only

by TK on 2024-04-02The Opera House - Toronto

Enjoyable concert, and having Bruce McCulloch as semi MC added to the fun. Regarding the venue itself, this was our first time attending The Opera House. In our opinion the event was oversold. The front floor area was jam packed to the point of discomfort. We liked the layout of the place but a few more chairs (with better ergonomics) would have supported the aging 50+ demographic better. I'm sure there were more than a few aching backs during and afterwards.

    Sooooo much fun

by Jogogreen on 2024-04-02The Opera House - Toronto

What a great night! They played all of hits from their individual bands as well as some great 70s covers. Everyone sang along. Lots of smiles and good vibes in the crowd. Don’t miss them if they play near you.

    4 Canadian Rock Icons

by ConcertLover on 2024-04-02The Opera House - Toronto

This is the second time I've seen the Trans-Canada Highwaymen and they were as great as the first time! Steven Page, Craig Northey, Chris Murphy and Moe Berg perform hits from their record selling bands as well as selected cuts from their Explosive Hits album. Buy the album, see the band. It will be remembered as a great night of entertainment and you get to meet the guys after the show!

Great show. The band had at least as much fun as the audience...maybe more!

Amazing Music, oh, but the venue... :(

by TOYT on 2024-04-02The Opera House - Toronto

Loved the music the energy in the crowd the vibe. But oh, the venue. Yes, I get it - it is a classic - but for the crowd (50+ would be kind), not being able to see, not being able to even move really (much less dance like we all wanted to!), and the battle to get to the bar and the washroom, it kind of made me weary. Put me in the "would pay twice as much to have a 1/3 less the people"crowd, and - crazy talk here - maybe a table? Dance floor? Looking forward to seeing the band again, that is a hands down for SURE!

Another great night with these Canadian Rock Legends

by David Long on 2024-04-02The Opera House - Toronto

As a massive music fan, I have had the privilege and opportunity to see hundreds and hundreds of bands over the years at various venues around the world with varied crowd sizes, ranging from tens of people to hundreds of people to thousands of people to Woodstock ‘99 with over 250,000 strong (and slightly rabid to boot lol). However, every time I see this “super group” perform, it transforms me back to my childhood and teen years, but it also reminds me of how rich of a musical radiation and culture we have right here in our great country 🇨🇦 From the introduction of the band by Kids in the Hall icon Bruce McCulloch, to the band’s covers of 1970’s classics, to each member playing every instrument and their own songs, to Junkhouse frontman Tom Wilson jumping out from behind us onto the stage for the encore, this was truly a special night with great company! PS for selfish reasons, I still wish that Bruce would have performed “These are the Daves I know” 🤣
