There was too much mumblings so it was hard to hear it clearly. The characters put too much emphasis on their accents that it was difficult to follow at times. It wasn't just my group, a lot of people said the same thing. All in all, it was still good.
Once the 2nd time just was awesome. I saw it in NYC on Broadway 3 yrs ago and the cast was just as amazing!
This truly was a new experience. All of the songs moved me from jubilation to sorrow - and I will remember all of the voices.

I went with 2 girl friends (all 60ish). Each of us were moved by the story, enjoyed the talent and did not miss the orchestra. Loved the way they handled the set. Would definitely see it again.
A great way to tell a story. It was different in that the cast played the musical instruments as well as acting. Loved the songs and the beautiful voices of the singers!

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing "Once" in Calgary. I wasn't completely aware of the whole premise of the show so was very impressed with the singing, musicianship, and the acting. There was many funny moments as well as poignant ones. Great show!
Loved the movie and soundtrack. Original Guy played by Glen Hansard and Girl, Marketa Irglova were great together. The play captured the essence of the story but the broader participation and added instrumentation by all twelve cast members made for a very entertaining experience.
The only reason I didn't rate this show with less stars is because the music is so beautiful and the performers we really good. However, having seen the production in New York, we were quite disappointed with the sound at the Jubilee. Much dialogue was lost and the sound seemed quite poor so the beauty of the songs was somewhat lost.
What musical skill, talent and ability! A very enjoyable and mesmerizing performance. If you enjoy music, then you must go.
Such an awesome transition from big screen to live! The musicians were so talented, and such beautiful voices. A night to remember with my daughter and daughter in law.
Enjoyed the play. Music and choreography were great. If you are Czech you will appreciate even more.
Beautiful story and absolutely beautiful music. The voices of the two lead actors were phenomenal. Still can't get the music out of my head! It absolutely amazed me at the emotion that they were able to portray with their music.
I have been to many musicals! Once was nice! The storyline was nice! The soundtrack is great, however if you are looking for something dramatic and with stage effects, there are none. Although I swear myself in certain situations I was not aware that the F-word was used constantly in which I do not enjoy or are comfortable with around children or elderly. I found it a little slow and hard to hear at times. I enjoyed the play & music...it was a nice night out, however Once is enough!
Once is a quiet, lovely musical... almost a play with musical interludes. If you are looking for lots of zoom and boom, this is not the musical for you.
My wife and I saw this show at the NAC in Ottawa. It was a wonderful performance filled with music, laughter and love. We would see it again in a heartbeat!
Once was awesome. Loved every single minute! The cast that afternoon sounded better than the soundtrack we have. Being able to go onstage was great and made the performance feel more intimate. The dedication afterwards was touching. Thank you to the cast!
My friend from NYC told me about this 'amazing new musical on Broadway' over a year and a half ago...so we downloaded the soundtrack and watched the movie. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the onstage production - I believe it is timeless given its storyline. The curtain speech cemented it for me! It brought years to my eyes thinking of the cast singing Gold a Capella in the Parliament's Rotunda. Classy.
Different from the movie as it had humor. The stage worked with the help of the actors while they sang and played their instruments. Well done. .
