    Ali Wong KILLED IT! 😂

by Nanner on 2024-04-01Meridian Hall - Toronto

This was the funniest comedian I’ve seen and we laughed so hard and long that we ran out of breath! Ali Wong KILLED IT. And the venue was perfect, the execution of work by the staff was excellent. It’s a really great venue and it’s just the right size wherein there’s no bad seats. Well done!

    Short and sweet, venue ok.

by Sam on 2024-04-01Meridian Hall - Toronto

Such a great time. Amazing performances. Was in and out in about 2 hrs. The venue was a little tight though. And if you’re stuck in front of someone who is tall, then you’re $$$ out of luck!

Ali is amazing! She sets a great pace, builds up her act, brings the stories full circle and leaves me belly laughing the whole way home with things to talk about for weeks to come. Love her!

Ali Wong’s show is probably the best stand up show I’ve ever attended. It was hilarious and we enjoyed our experience. Certainly recommend it!

    On top of her game

by Rina on 2024-03-30Meridian Hall - Toronto

I saw Ali at Winter Garden on her last tour. So I especially enjoyed experiencing her catapult levels beyond any expectations this time around (even with the success of Beef!). We were in tears! I even gasped with delight when it was revealed that Sheng Wang was her opener. Feels like a historic time for Asian excellence.

    Great show but ....

    by Rob's Reviews on 2023-07-16

Over-all, the Ali Wong show was great. She was spot on with her delivery and timing of her jokes. What would be nice is to allow the audience a couple of minutes or so to take a couple of photos of her for wonderful memories. Understandable we would not want nor allow people to record the show, but perhaps at the end to allow a few photographes would be a nice touch.

    Mediocre

    by DV on 2023-07-12

As a fan of Ali’s, I left the show somewhat disappointed. The late start and short show did not align with the ticket price paid, and the entire show was one-note in delivery and focus. Then again, listening about the sex life of a recent divorcée for an hour far exceeded my patience level for it. It continues to stump me why the venue would continue to allow people to be seated mid-row, 30 minutes into a performance when it was clear the patrons were in the lobby drinking cocktails. Not only was the show late in starting, but it’s disrespectful to have everyone in the row stand up during the performance, to allow the passage of four intoxicated ladies with their double fisted cocktails, spilling them as they stumbled to their seats.

    Amazing Lady

    by GOAT on 2023-07-12

The Ali Wong show had bit of a slow start but once the opening act was done we were primed. Ali came on and delivered a set that kept us howling in our seats. She is so funny ,and some her raunchy life experiences are something most of us ( especially the ladies) can relate to. Ali did not disappoint and would definitely pay to see her again .

Love the show- needed giant screens

    by BigPappy on 2023-07-12

I loved the show but it needed giant tv screens. I was in the balcony and all I could see of Ali Wong was her body on stage. I didn’t see any of her facial expressions which is an important part of stand-up comedy. Next time giant tv screens should be added for us to far away to see the star of the show

    Ali Wong Show

    by Bottomless Hoes on 2023-07-12

The show was amazing, funny, and entertaining. It is certainly worth watching if she comes back to town. The overall experience was good, except the seats were quite tight due to the person in front of me. Furthermore, their height made it hard to see the stage. My view was particularly obstructed  between the person in front of me. I had to lean over to the hoe next to me to get a better view.

    Ali has arrived in Queendom!

    by Ali 2.0 on 2023-07-11

I love Ali more than ever after seeing this show. Everything she said is what I have been living, feeling and experiencing!!! Thank you for giving women a bold and unafraid voice to talk about our desires, our needs, our accomplishments and boundaries in the best, most funny and dirty way. I was screaming at everything she said in agreement and with exuberance, feeling Ali's freedom and joy! Always witty and delivered with impeccable precision, timing and nuance. Loved seeing her beautiful daughters run to hug her as she walked off stage after her set. I recommend Ali to anyone who is wanting to laugh their asses and to feel empowered and hopeful about life, sex, dating, rebirths, personal renaissance and DIVORCE!!!!

Ali Wong was great! Audience was not

    by JKL on 2023-07-11

Ali and her opener were both fantastic. Our seats were great - row 11 and we could see very well! However, the entire show was an endless parade of ushers showing latecomers to their seats (and blinding us with their flashlights in the process), and a group of 5 bros behind us who insisted on talking, looking at their phones, and constantly coming in and out throughout the show, disrupting everyone around them and presumably all the way behind us as well. Perhaps a different policy around seating people who can’t be bothered to show up on time could be considered at this venue.

Ali is the best! She tells it like it is and doesn’t hold back. Everything she says is on the point and well delivered. A must see!
