Amazing concert. Great venue. Worth the ticket price every time I see him.
I thought the music was great, my only complaint was it was way to loud, my ears were buzzing for hours after I left. . I don't know about the sound men today, I think they think volume makes things sound better.
If you like your Ben Harper music to be loud and rowdy, with amazing guitar solos and percussion, then this tour should not be missed. This was not a folk festival. This was a return to the younger, angrier, activist type music which defies description but grabs you by the throat and demands your attention.
Awesome show. Great music and vocals. I would go see him again and again and again!
His performance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic was the greatest pairing in music I have heard live yet. His music naturally asks to be accompanied by more instruments and this was a magical pairing. If BHIC ever play with a Philharmonic again I HIGHLY recommend you travel to see it. I traveled from a few hours south of Toronto, Ontario, CANADA to Hollywood, California to see this show and it was worth every penny. I will never forget this night!
Ben loves Montreal and the feeling is mutual. I've seen him 11 times now and every show is the best show. I've been hoping for an Innocent Criminals reunion for a long time and I was glad to catch the show at the Metropolis. They are also announced at the Ottawa Bluesfest which I will also attend. Not many artists can get away with playing small clubs and headline a festival.
It was the Ben of the good days! Fourth time and still impressed by him. First time with the Innocent Criminals!
You can’t go wrong with an evening spent with Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals. He played for 2 hours and 40 minutes and worth every cent of the ticket cost. I have been to about 8 or 9 of his shows 3 or 4 of them with the innocent criminals and nothing compares to their onstage camaraderie. If given the chance, go to one of his shows.
A stunning show by a guy who puts 100% into everything. What a band too!
I've seen Ben Harper one other time but it was at a Benefit concert so he played an abbreviated set. Seeing him as a headliner was an amazing experience. He played over 2 1/2 hours of music and he and his band are an extremely talented group of drummers and guitar players. I lost count of how many different guitars Ben played but the experience was great, the crowd was enthralled and the entire evening was wonderful
