About

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are regarded as one of the very best live rock acts of all time. From humble New Jersey beginnings in 1972, they grew in popularity to become one of the true icons of American music. Hits such as “Born In The USA” and “Dancing In The Dark” cemented Bruce Springsteen as one of America's top popular rock vocalists. He's known for being one of the hardest-working acts in the industry, and concerts can regularly last three hours or more and tours often last years rather than months.
Bruce Springsteen began his musical career singing and playing in a number of bands in the New Jersey area in the mid-‘60s. Influenced by the likes of Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Cream, his musical style was both a reflection of his own tastes and of his blue-collar working-class American roots. The mix of old-fashioned rock and roll with a more progressive, often politically minded lyrical style soon began to build a cult following for Springsteen. By 1972 he was signed to a deal with Columbia Records, along with the E Street Band. The band's members changed now and then over the years, but the core members were Danny Federici, Clarence Clemons, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg. Together they released their first album, Greetings From Asbury Park NJ, in 1972.
While they enjoyed tremendous success in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, they were launched into the megastar category with the release of Born In The USA in 1984. The album stormed the US charts, becoming one of the biggest-selling records of all time with over 30 million albums sold. Bruce Springsteen became an American pop-culture icon and the band enjoyed huge success worldwide with sold-out stadium tours and numerous top 10 singles.
In 1999 Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and over the years the act has won numerous Grammy and Golden Globe Awards while continuing to rock at sell-out shows the world over. Bruce has always remained true to his roots, often turning down offers from corporate advertisers wanting to use his music for profit. His music has truly captured the American spirit over the years, which is why he has remained a much-loved and consistently popular musician for such a long time. Away from his on-stage commitments he is an activist for equal rights and runs a charity called The Foundation which helps support war veterans and food banks.

This was the 11th time we've had the opportunity of attending an E Street Show, and it was the best yet! I think Bruce should be the motto on how to act your age, looking forward to living up to that motto!

    Great show

by BC57 on 2016-03-13Talking Stick Resort Arena formerly US Airways Center - Phoenix

Bruce was outstanding, just under 4 hours of him belting out song after song, the crowd interaction is like nothing I have witnessed before. Only negative to the evening, is that from our seats, somewhat to the side & back of the stage, the sound was very muffled.... Hard to make out any 'words'.... Other than this... an amazing evening!

3.5 hours and 35 songs including the entire River album in sequence. Incredible energy, lots of crowd interaction and the band was as tight as I have ever heard them. Even in his mid-sixties, Bruce continues to be the best live performer of at least his generation if not multi-generations. Sound quality was also high where we were on the floor. Would go again tomorrow.

One of the best if not the best Springsteen concer

by Knine on 2016-03-07BMO Harris Bradley Center - Milwaukee

What can i say - the River was reborn. It was like going to church - Bruce has this amazing ability to create a sense of community and suspend time, transport you, energize you and return you with with a renewed hope for the future. My brother and I drove 12 hours each way to see Bruce and each minute of our drive was worth it.

Over 3 hours long, after completing the river album which had the sold out crowd standing and dancing 80% of the time, Bruce and the band played over an hour of their best concert anthems. The place was loud, exciting and the crowd was all in!

Wow, three and a half hours of classic rock. Hard to believe that the band can still bring that kind of energy. Great to see so many Boo ears and youngin's singing along to hit after hit. Sound quality was excellent and we would love to see Bruce again....this was our first Bruce concert and hopefully not our last. Max....don't know how you can do it!!

Springsteen Hits the Mark at Blue Cross Arena

by hgdfergy on 2016-03-01Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

I saw Toronto - it was great. Buffalo topped Toronto with the Detroit Medley and Hard to be a Saint in the City. Well Rochester topped them both, Highlights were "I Wanna Be with You" and Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out where the band was not ready for this last minute change.

DAMN! The Boss knows how to rock!

by Tony5290 on 2016-03-01Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

This was my first Springsteen concert, and I'm very happy I chose to attend. The River album is one of the greatest rock albums, but moreover, Bruce Springsteen knows how to entertain. I went in knowing his shows are normally 3+ hours, but what I didn't know was that it's 3+ non-stop hours. Springsteen and the E Street Band took to the stage and didn't stop for more than 3 hours, just belting out one song after another: no breaks. I was impressed.

    Springsteen The River 2016 Tour!

by Dalee332 on 2016-02-06Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This is one artist that everyone needs to experience at least once in their life. I have only missed a Springsteen concert once in the last 10+ years (only because I couldn't get tickets) This man has so much energy and so much show presence! He is entertaining the audience for the whole show (which is usually at least double in length to any other entertainer) You will be up dancing and singing along with the boss!! Make sure you know his music - all of it - you never know when he may bring out an oldie GO See the Boss if you have a chance!!!!!

down to the river we did go

by foodboy on 2016-02-06Air Canada Centre - Toronto

seeing the river played in its entirety was absolutely stunning. for those of us that were lucky enough to be there this show will not be forgotten any time soon. many songs have not seen the light of day since the river tour of 1980. what a thrill to have it played in order and avoiding the usual rhythm of overplayed hits. this show was for the true fan. bruce showed he still had the stamina as the show lasted 3 plus hours. pretty good for a man 66 years old. was the best bruce springsteen show i have been to since 2000. would love to see it again.
