Chicago Sky History

The Chicago Sky are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team played their first season in 2006, then qualified for their first postseason in 2013 before advancing to the Finals for the first time in 2014. Initially led by Sylvia Fowles, who won WNBA Defensive Player of the Year twice as a member of Chicago, the Sky experienced more success with 2015 MVP Elena Delle Donne and seven-time league assist leader Courtney Vandersloot. In 2021, the Chicago Sky won their first WNBA Championship with a squad featuring Vandersloot, Finals MVP Kahleah Copper and seven-time All-Star Candace Parker.

Overall, fantastic experience! 1st live WNBA game - 😍

    by Hoopdreams1995 on 2023-05-18Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I was shocked at how quickly the tickets sold out! I was glad that I was able secure some for my friends and I. Seeing the little girls in the stands, screaming their heads off, and cheering for their favorite team, was so amazing. I wish I could have experienced this as a young girl playing basketball. They can have hoop dreams of playing in the WNBA one day, and that is also amazing!! The turn out was astronomical. The vibes were felt. I hope the players saw/felt the love that the GTA had to give! I would definitely attend more WNBA games in Toronto (Hopefully with our own franchise 🤞🏾), in the future!
