Excellent combination and alignment of Cohen’s music and dance
PLEASE come back for another engagement- I promise us four will bring a bunch more!!
I loved the combination of dance styles, jazz, ballet and contemporary. The dancers were amazing and incredibly athletic. There were lots of unique moves with some fun stuff thrown in, like the red lips and the typewriters. My only criticism is the ending where two performers sing Hallelujah, it was so anti-climatic. Having said that, I would highly recommend it.
The combination of music and dance was marvelous! Very versatile performers.
The dancing was incredible. So beautifully done to the music. Would have liked him singing “Hallelujah” although the female singer did a good job. Needed that deep male voice
The choreography, music and execution are spectacular. The dancers tell beautiful stories throughout the show in the most honest way. I am happy that could see this show.
The marriage of the Company’s choreography and the poetry/music of Leonard Cohen was a match made for all those who love modern dance. It was a pleasure and a privilege to see them again.
Everything about the performance was amazing! The technical talent of the dancers, the interpretation of the music, the choreography, the lighting, the special effects - absolutely everything. We would recommend unreservedly as the ultimate in dance performances, so glad we were able to be there to enjoy it.
The performance itself was wonderful! But we were--stupidly on my part--3 rows from the front! And could see nothing of the feet and really the lower third of the dancers. (I'm 5'4".) Yet they were costly tickets. Dance events just should not sell close seats. I kept craning my neck--I'm sure people behind me were not happy. But really, I missed 1/3 of the show, and some what appeared to be imaginative choreography :(
My guest and I couldn't have enjoyed it more. The dancers were spectacularly talented and the flow of the programme was terrific. And, of course, the music was sublime.
